I have stay there for a week in January. The rooms are ok for a night or two. Restaurant is limited with only few meals and quite expensive. Breakfast was ok, buffet type. Bus station is next to the hotel and it takes 10 minutes and 3 euro to the city center.
Situation almost opposite the ferry terminal I would class this as a hotel of last resorts from check in to check out this was a terrible experience the staff were rude the cleanliness of the hotel left a lot to be desired, house keeping in the room was pathetic in 5 days it wasn't hoovered or polished no clean linen at all and the making of the bed was a joke a five year old could have dane better. Every time a ferry came in alarms would sound any time of the day or night so a good night's sleep was impossible on our next return to turku we will be giving this place a wide berth
Not a lot to say about this hotel really. It's clean and offers basic home comforts. Free carpark and wifi. Not too much going on nearby but it's a great location to stop over before boarding the ferry.
Very good mid-range hotel right next to passenger ferry harbour. The building is beautifully quaint, the rooms were a bit more boring but they were clean, quiet and have all basic amenities. Breakfast had a good buffet spread and staff were nice. The only problem was a lack of free parking but the staff helped us find a space. The hotel is about 3 kilometers from city centre but there are buses nearby and you can also walk along the river to the city, a beautiful walk. Turku castle is right next door.
This hotel is in nice area near harbour, and one can easily hop on or hop off from the cruise or take a morning or evening boat to Sweden. Hotel is in center point of transportation, You can access to train or bus which are just around the corner. Hotel is not expensive and has excellent services such as great a la carte restaurant including lunch buffet and great breakfast. This can be used just for holiday as well, because the old Turku castle is around the corner,
Hotel itself is basic and perfect if you arrive or depart by ferry, both Silja and Viking terminals are really next door. Breakfast is also basic and is good for the price. What surprised us is staff at the front desk. We arrived around dinner time and wanted to have a meal so we asked during checkin if there are any cafes or restaurants in the area. We were told that the only place to eat in the area is hotel bar. We accepted it and unfortunately had a meal in the hotel. We should have been more curious and check trip advisor. In fact on our way back we arrived by ferry and had some time to kill in the port and discovered nice pub with decent food right opposite hotel and there was also Asian food place nearby. I was unpleasantly surprised Best western hotel staff lie to customers to make them eat in their restaurant. By the way food in best western for dinner wasn't good either.
Easy going on hotel. Not even trying to be fancy and luxury. Good beds with different pillows. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. will use this hotel again when around. Maybe a litlle too far from city, but simle roud there.
The Best Western Sea Port Hotel is clean and tidy. It's located just by the check in points of both Viking Line ferry and Silja Line which makes it perfect for the ferry travelers. The Castle is also in a close vicinity. The rooms are pretty basic though, they are a bit tired and need renovation. However some rooms are pretty good and newly renovated, but check it in advance. The breakfast was quite good, cheese, sausages, meatballs, eggs, cereals, yogurts, everything was good , except from juice. The dinner was also good. The staff members at both breakfast and dinner were super friendly. However the room service was odd, they basically didn't do anything, except lightly cleaning the bathroom. The stroll towards the city from the hotel is long, around 45-60 minutes, depending on your pace, but pleasant , go by the river boulevard. Overall it's fine, but nothing very special. Stay here for ferry travel as it will save your time in the morning, but for city break choose more central location.
I stayed in this hotel 3 nights. This one is a converted harbour office house. The rooms are located on 1st floor. The harbour and Turku castle are in the vicinity of the hotel. The city centre is possible to reach by a bus or even walk - about 40 min., if you don't mind the distance. The breakfast is served in the restaurant on the ground floor and the choice is very good.
This is a nice hotel next to seaport. Stayed only for one night. Arriving to hotel, we got nice warm welcome. Staff was friendly. Hotel room was old but clean. Bed was comfortable. There was a minibar in the room but no air condition. Hotel has a restaurant, which is also nice, if you don't want to go to the city. Breakfast was quite normal, but tasty. Recommended for short stop.
