Candlewood Suites Tulsa2.5 out of 5.0

This is very tired property with disorganised front desk and very thin walls. Our room was on third floor, and we could clearly hear all happening on the hallway and also (sadly) in the next room. Front desk was manned with one person, who was also there for the first time, which led to confusion (we were firstly assigned the room next to the elevator, but in IHG profile we have clearly marked just the opposite). There is no breakfast, and wi-fi is free and not very fast.
I'm a fan of Candlewood Suites for the great amenities but this location exceeded all my expectations. Upon arrival we were greeted by 2 amazing young ladies by the name of Ebonee and Amanda. Throughout our stay they were very nice and helpful. This particular property was close to EVERYTHING! The mall, great restaurants and a wonderful nail shop were all within 5 minutes of the hotel. If we are ever back in the Tulsa area it's a no brainer where we'll be staying!
My family stayed here for a few nights on our summer vacation, passing through Tulsa. Had a very nice stay here! Warm and helpful staff. Reasonably priced. Perfectly located so we were able to get some shopping done and plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Rooms are very nice, recently renovated, lots of amenities. We made breakfast in the room; everything we needed was on hand. Full size fridge is a nice plus. It was nice having our own icemaker (in the freezer) so we didn't have to leave the rooom to get ice. Microwave, stove, coffee pot, blowdryer... Wi-fi connection was perfect and easy to connect to in the room... Kids borrowed movies to watch in the room (at no charge!) Loved loved loved the FREE laundry room, right by the small exercise area. Next time, we'll bring our dog; there's a dog run in back and they said pets are welcomed too. Everyone we met on staff was very friendly, efficient, and professional. They made us feel very welcome, and we definitely made ourselves at home during our time at this hotel. Kids didn't even want to leave when it was time to go! Looking forward to our next visit! Thanks for the gracious hospitality. Hope to see you all again soon!
My experience was nothing but pleasant here. Customer service was spot on and accommodations are updated, clean, comfortable, quiet and fairly spacious. I'm not all that familiar with the Candlewood brand, so it's on me that I wasn't aware that there's no included breakfast, they do offer items for sale in their pantry area or you can bring in fresh food and cool it yourself. That's probably more attractive of an idea to someone staying a week versus a day. Even without an included breakfast the price point was quite nice as about $90 w/tax. I will consider this location again when in the Tulsa area and recommend it.
I booked a 2 room suite. The girl behind me booked the same type of room but she made her reservation after I made mine. She also checked in AFTER I checked in. For some reason TYLER at the front desk checked me into a regular tiny 1 room studio and when I told him about the mistake he very rudely said there is nothing he will do for me. So me and my mom are stuck sharing a bed. They offered a rollaway bed but the room is so small it won't even fit. Needless to say I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. AVOID AT ALL COST. Tyler at the front desk is rude and I believe he was being RACIST!! I'll never come back here they ruined my family's summer vacation.
Great location and the area around has lots of shopping options. The wi fi was good at this location. There is remodeling going on to make this a better stay in the future. The water pressure is great and the hot water is very good. The bedding is super comfy, great nights sleep. No issues at all in this location, hope to get back soon.
I arrived after a long flight last Friday night. I've made my reservation trough Expedia and I never had problems of reservations not being processed before. Upon arriving the front desk told me that the hotel was full and that I didn't have a reservation. It almost midnight and they told me they would help me out find another hotel. While I was contacting Expedia. To be honest I was at the front desk all the time and I didn't hear one single phone call. The receptionist was not doing anything to help to fix my problem. Finally, after around 30 minutes I got in touch with expedia and they were then looking for another hotel for me. When the receptionist realizes my paperwork was on another tray and I was already checked in. So, the hotel messed up with paperwork, didn't move a finger thinking it was my problem and in the end it was their fault. I received a key to go to my room but I couldn't open it. The receptionist came upstairs to open the room for me, and guess what? There was another guest inside. At 1am we were banging at some stranger door. Then, I had to contact expedia again to continue to find me a hotel. In the mean time, the receptionist found another room ( remember the hotel was fully booked in the beginning). At least, this time she had the decency of checking it before sending me there. What really annoyed was the careless attitude in the first time.
Hotel was under renovation during our stay, which really was not too much of a bother since we were sleeping on a brand new mattress. However, we had to ring a bell to get someone to check us in, who then came out from the back talking on her cellphone, very unprofessional. We had an issue with the toilet and called the front desk the first night. Maintenance had already left and was told it would be taken care of the next day. We informed the front desk the next morning about the situation, even told them what it was and it was never fixed. The room was very nice, other than the toilet and would recommend the hotel. Was in a very nice area of town and very convenient to everything you need.
The hotel is near local restaurants and big box stores. We had to ring a bell at the front desk to get someone to help us during checkin. The first thing you see behind the front desk is an industrial washer and dryer. Staff were pleasant. The room consisted of a fridge, microwave, stove top and dishwasher. The ice maker in the freezer kicked out ice once while we were here. We asked the front desk for ice but they said the only ice was in our room. We shared 2 cubes.
The hotel is well kept up. Our room was comfortable and clean. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is centrally located to shopping, casinos, and downtown. Would definately stay at this location again.
