The Cactus House
A cozy and comfortable 1950's Bohemian gem near mid-town with living room, kitchen, dining room, and laundry.
It includes two bedrooms with Queen Beds: one is firmer and the other, softer. The couch in the living room does have a full size hide-a-bed mattress.
Kitchen appliances include microwave, dishwasher, stovetop with oven, full refrigerator with freezer, and garbage disposal. Small appliances include drip coffee maker, blender, crockpot, handmixer, citrus juicer, personal size waffle maker, and toaster. We also stock some pots and pans, measuring utensils, mixing bowls, etc for baking and cooking.
Backyard covered patio has outdoor lighting, table/chairs, and installed shade screens to block east and west sun for sitting outside any time of the day.
Front and backyards feature a variety of desert plants which include small barrel and young saguaro, 12' night blooming cereus, prickly pear, and organ pipe cacti as well as mesquite trees, creosote bush, aloe, ocotillo, agave, jojoba, and more.
We provide a Roku TV with assorted free channels and an antenna that picks up about 50 other channels, as well as a DVD/VCR player. You will find an assortment of games and jigsaw puzzles in the cabinet in the dining room, a variety of books in the bookcase, and an antique style desk by the south window in the living room.

The Cactus House was super comfortable and homey, and had a lovely back patio with a view of the mountains. Kitchen had so many appliances, great cookware, and a wonderful selection of teas and coffee. Mary Lou left us holiday goodies and decorations.

Mary Lou was a gracious host. She made sure we had everything we need during our stay at the Cactus House. It is a beautiful house and was closely located to everything we needed. We will definitely book again when visiting Tucson.

This is our favorite "home away from home" in Tucson. We have stayed here six times and will be back again later this year. The house is clean, has everything we need, and has security measures that make it feel safe for us and our belongings. The owners are wonderful and always respond quickly to communications. Check-in and check-out are a breeze. It's pleasant to sit in the shade of the covered patio, and look at the backyard cactus garden and the Catalina Mountains to the north. We'd recommend this house to anyone who is looking to be centrally located, because from here it's an easy drive to most of Tucson's main attractions (e.g., the University of Arizona, Saguaro National Park (East), Mt. Lemmon, Mission Garden, Tucson Botanical Gardens, Reid Park Zoo), as well as many fine restaurants, stores for grocery shopping, and Park Place Mall.

Comfortable and charming
My nephew and family enjoyed their stay in the Cactus House and MaryLou was an excellent host staying in close texting contact. The house is well equipped and really cute.
