Silverfell Lodge has the distinction of being named a HGTV 2020 Ultimate House Hunt finalist, and it is no surprise why. Impeccable craftsmanship features hand-hewn black walnut flooring and beams, extensive artisan stone ironwork and pigmented stucco walls. The attention to detail invested by the owners to ensure an extraordinary vacation experience is reflected in the kitchen accessories, linens and furnishings. The kids will revel in having the entry level to themselves with a bunk room and adjacent family room with a kitchenette, TV and fireplace. The impressive primary bedroom on the main floor offers an office nook to catch up on emails, a handsome stone fireplace and a spacious balcony for watching the sun rise with a freshly brewed cup of Joe. Resting on half an acre with lovely views of the Carson Range, an additional, neighbooring lot for sledding, and an expansive back yard with a hot tub, Silverfell Lodge is the quintessential home for both indoor and outdoor entertainment.
Speaking of entertainment, Northstar is one of the most activity enhanced areas in Tahoe / Truckee area. Best of all, this is all accessible with one easy call to the Northstar shuttle service, which comes directly to Silverfell Lodge's front door. This is one home and experience not to be missed!

Winter Driving Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. You may find valuable winter driving tips from the CHP here: https://bit.ly/3IKiY7n
Summer Patio Furniture Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.
Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife.
