The food and the service at the restaurant and bar at the Doubletree was outstanding. We were expecting a suite for our group of four. Instead we were given two connecting rooms. The check-in was a little slow. The fitness room was a little small but the grounds and overall facilities are very nice.
Все хорошо как во всех отелях DoubleTree, но нет тапочек и персонал мог бы быть поприветливее / Everything is good as in all DoubleTree hotels but there were no slippers in cabin and personnel could be more friendly.
A friend and I were booked into this hotel by our airline when our flight was cancelled due to bad weather. We stayed two nights before our return flight. The hotel is spacious, modern and very comfortable. Our rooms were excellent, with all the facilities we needed. Above all this were the extremely welcoming and helpful staff. From reception to the bar and dining room, everyone was charming, helpful and courteous. They really could not have been more helpful, and I send my thanks. The food was very good and breakfast was excellent. It's true that this hotel is in a very quiet area. Though we enjoyed the opportunity to relax in comfort while we waited for our return home after spending a few days in beautiful Venice. The hotel is not far from the airport and the concierge is happy to arrange transfers. I would be more than happy to return.
Due to the bad weather in England our flight home was cancelled and EasyJet put us all up in this hotel until the next available flight. The staff could not have been more welcoming, despite the sudden influxes of stranded travellers all times of the day and night. Their hospitality is second to none. The hotel is very big and has a corporate feel to it but the staff are very personable, welcoming and helpful. The rooms and facilities are wonderful. The food is delicious. Thank you for making these last few days so comfortable for us.
My husband and I were put up in this hotel for one night (well, a few hours!) when our Air Dolomiti flight was cancelled. We arrived quite late in the evening but we were given a very friendly welcome by the staff. An 'emergency' dinner service for our group (a planeload of people) had been organised in the conference room where waiters brought out sliced pizzas (pretty good, I have to say) to shared tables. There was a table with desserts to help yourself and every table had red/white wine. We had some food and then quickly left to head to the bar for a much needed glass of prosecco, but when the waiter saw that we were leaving, and having remembered that we had been among the last people to arrive, he asked if we'd had enough to eat, which was really sweet. The bar was good and the prices not exorbitant, considering the type of hotel. The bedroom was really nice and, rare for an Italian hotel, there was a kettle in the room and good quality instant coffee - so I didn't have to unpack my case to extract my travel kettle. The bathroom had Crablyn & Evelyn toiletries. I couldn't enjoy the breakfast as we were due to be picked up at 5 am to go to the airport, but a table with some snacks had been arranged by reception (the receptionist was very apologetic for the lack of coffee, but we'd had some in our room anyway). At this point, the only problem we encountered occurred: the shuttle, which was supposed to collect us at 5 am and which had been confirmed by the airline the night before (the receptionist had even showed me the email) didn't turn up. The receptionist, a young man called Stefano, saved the day by calling us a taxi which my husband and I shared with two other panicking passengers (luckily the taxi was big enough to accommodate all of us and our luggage). It was €50 well spent. The taxi driver said that that situation happens a lot as the shuttle company doesn't turn up if there aren't enough passengers to make it worth their while. That's pretty shocking (although my experience with hotel shuttles has never been very good) so I'd advise guests to make their own arrangements and pay for a taxi instead. All considering, the hotel did a tremendous job at accommodating a planeload of passengers at such short notice, and kudos to all the staff for being so friendly and pleasant to deal with. Location wise, this is a hotel in the middle of nowhere, probably catering to business conventions and airlines, but I would recommend it for anyone needing a bed near Venice Airport before an early flight or during a layover.
Hotel is close to the airport but far from the city center. It does offer shuttle service. It’s very modern, clean hotel. Good internet service. Very friendly staff. Decent breakfast, good restaurant and bar.
Had just checked in with group. Previously we stayed in Prato area and it was horrible. But this hotel had just cured our dissapointment. I'm not sure if it's startegic location or not, but from the moment we arrived, lobby was really spacious. The girl at reception is also really helpful. We did not have any chance to swim since it's really cold outside but it was so tempting feeling to jump. Hope when we have a chance to go back to Venice, we might book this hotel.
Nice, new hotel with friendly staff and wonderful breakfast! We took a local bus from the train station. My son said it would be a short walk from the bus stop to the hotel. HA! We ended up walking through fields because the road did not have a safe shoulder to walk on. A local Italian took pity on us and offered us a ride to the hotel. (Thank you!) Yes, a free shuttle would have been wonderful and added to our otherwise great experience at this hotel.
Despite its rather strange location (in the middle of nowhere, so you really need a car if you stay at this hotel), the hotel is very convenient when you have car and need to be in the neighbourhood or just as a nightstop on the road. There is free car-parking at the hotel. The hotel is very modern with design furniture and modern fully equipped rooms. Breakfast was good as well. There is also a nice inside garden at the hotel.
Nice newer hotel near the airport that offered free shuttle service to and from the tourist area in Venice. Nice staff, new clean rooms and good food in their restaurant. It is in the country side so it is quiet and there are no shops or restaurants within walking distance. It was a good value and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a location near the airport
