Pros: - Good location for Deauville/Honfleur area. - Comfortable beds and hot gushy walk in showers - Lovely garden with furniture for outdoor eatingCons: - Terrible communication with property manager which resulted in us finding ourselves outside a gated community without the code. Leaving the car outside we walked into the community and, luckily found a couple of people outside a property and they were the agents. Note that the community does not any written signage at the gate identifying the development (just a number) and the house itself does NOT have a number - so make sure you get detailed info from the property manager before you go - Very uncomfortable lounge furniture - low bean bag level. As other have done, brought in the garden furniture.- House is not new as per the blurb, but has been rented since 2016 according to the reviews. Some elements of kitchen equipment show its age. Chipped crockery .... - -- The hanging space for clothes upstairs is all in the main bedroom nothing in other 2 bedrooms. Seems odd having to go into someone else's room to get your clothes- No smart TVDid not use pool or hot tub.

Properly is lovely - a few bits and pieces need updated (mainly the kitchen area and utensils etc) but it didn’t spoil our overall holiday. Communication with the owner was good before and during our stay. Concierge didn’t speak English and we don’t speak French but we used a translate app - and it worked perfectly. She was lovely and very helpful. Perfect location for visiting Touques and Deauville. It’s such a beautiful part of the world. Private house with villa in a gated community - felt very safe. Amazing that we got to bring our little dog with us from Scotland. I’d definitely book this property again and we were very sad to leave. We were very lucky with the weather which helped our overall experience.

Lovely holiday home

We had a lovely week in this holiday home. We would rebook for sure. Check-in was great, Charles was friendly and explained how everything worked. Four stars as there were a few things the owner could improve: 1. A welcome pack would be a nice touch, especially as we had travelled 10hours to reach the holiday home, maybe some local produce. 2. The ping pong ball is sellotaped together, so we could not play that. 3. The clothes horse has seen better days and needs replacing. 4. Hot tub was on 21C when we arrived, so we missed one day of use, also it could do with a clean as there is a lot do sediment . Hope this helps improve the guest experience. As mentioned I would recommend this holiday home.

Great find

Lovely property around 5 min drive from Deauville. Great set up for family of 4 and our dog. Secure grounds, great facilities, very quiet. Good communication with the host and professional greeting & handover. We arrived on a Sunday so be warned to get a shop done as most places had closed by midday. Would definitely return!

Ideal for a Family Holiday

We enjoyed a good holiday, slightly disappointed that the football goal was missing as we had a football mad grandson. We all enjoyed the pool, table tennis and the hot tub.

Very good stay, but....

Firstly, there seemed to be some confusion as to who should give us final directions to the house, with the result that no-one actually gave us any at all, except for a vague address which landed us in the wrong gated community. We rang for better directions and were told the name of the community and the gate code, but not the house number. After driving round the whole area several times, we decided to wait for the caretaker to take us to the house. The house itself was lovely, as were the grounds, and it is an excellent location but, at the price we were paying, we expected better – less niggling problems and perhaps a welcome pack. Surely local producers would welcome the chance to showcase their wares, at discount prices. As for the niggling problems, the mat outside the front door hides a nasty hole which could be potentially dangerous. There were a couple of lights which didn’t work, particularly the one on the stairs. The handle on the downstairs wc is faulty, and the lock is very stiff. The spa bath in the upstairs en suite obviously doesn’t work, and neither does the cooker hood. Outside, the barbeque obviously needs replacing.The beds were a little on the low side, but extremely comfortable. The sofas in the living room, however, were extremely low and proved absolutely impossible for our 70 year old knees. We resorted to bringing in some of the garden furniture if we wanted to watch the television! Overall, it is an excellent house but needs a little attention.

Beautiful!

We've just returned from a wonderful week at this beautiful house. We were blessed with fab weather, the area is lovely, and not far by car to the gorgeous beach. The house itself is very spacious, nicely decorated with a contemporary twist, and clean. Absolutely loved the garden (our two dogs thought all their christmases had come at once!). Pool is great, and the cover is ideal. We've given five stars overall, because on the whole it deserves that rating; however, there are a few things that could be addressed. Not things that would make or break a holiday; more constructive points for improvement. Firstly, there is a lot of chipped mis-matched crockery. One of the mugs was actually leaking coffee, and some of the cups were dirty. Dustpan was broken. No sign of a broom. One of the outdoor parasols was broken. Could do with a full length mirror somewhere. When we arrived, the water in the hot-tub was green; it was rectified (had to be drained and re-filled), but it took a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, and we lost three hot tub days. Also, it would be very helpful to know what day the Gardner is due. We could have arranged to have an 'out' day, and it was difficult with the dogs because the Gardner didn't close the gates! Luckily the road outside isn't busy. Communication wise, it is most definitely beneficial to speak some French. The area is not geared towards British tourists...which we love, but some might struggle.

Family & friends stay near Deauville

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The location is great, a gated development felt very secure, in a lovely quiet area of Le Haut Bois, yet only 5min drive from Deauville/Trouville. The facilities at the house were great, a lovely big pool, hot tub, outdoor table tennis and a large garden for games. We were two families of four with young children and we all had a blast!

Fabulous holiday

The house was modern and clean with lovely bedrooms. The pool is a great size and the garden is fabulous. Great for a family with kids. The landlord was very accommodating with all of our requests. Would definitely consider returning to this house.

Beautiful house, lovely pool & garden, great location

This is a perfect place for a weekend or longer stay, any time of the year (thanks to the heated & covered pool). The house is modern, well-equipped and a great size, easily accomodating six adults and two children while still feeling homely. The pool is long enough to do have a proper swim and the garden is huge. The setting is lovely - in the hills with lots of green, lots of birds - and Trouville is less than 10 minutes away by car, so days at the beach are a doddle. There are also many other very nice places to visit close by. Excellent for children.

Fabulous house, with everything you need to make your stay perfect.

The location is great; 5 mins from town & beaches but far enough away to enjoy the countryside. The layout of the house works perfectly for a large family. The house has all you need to make your stay comfortable and some lovely extras like a spa bath & outdoor Table tennis. The beds are very comfortable and the multi gym is a perfect addition. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

AMAZING HOUSE - WHAT A LOVELY HOLIDAY

My wife and 6 children had an AMAZING stay in this house. Large spacious house, very modern and beautiful inside. HUGE garden which my children loved running an playing in. Amazing heated pool which could be either covered or uncovered, depending on the weather, in which we spent many hours. It is also very important to us that the pool could be covered and locked completely, ensuring it was safe for young children. The house is furnished luxuriously, and the beds and couches are extremely comfortable. There is also very comfortable outdoor furniture. It is in a very quiet area, yet so near to the stunning huge sandy expansive beaches of Deauville and Trouville. Thank you so so much Laurent for letting us use the house for an unforgettable holiday, and I hope that many other people / families jump at the opportunity to do so as well.

Dommage que le portail ne soit toujours pas rĂ©parĂ© (nous sommes venus il y a deux ans et il est dans le mĂȘme Ă©tat, il ne se ferme pas. Le pisciniste ne nettoie pas bien la piscine, juste aprĂšs son passage c’est aussi vert qu’avant. La maison est agrĂ©able. La literie est trĂšs confortable. Le jardin est spacieux, arborĂ©, clos et silencieux. Equipements extĂ©rieurs au top ! Parfait pour une famille.On a cependant regrettĂ© qu'il n'y ait que 3 transats autour de la piscine, que le Tancarville soit inutilisable, qu'il manque des ustensiles dans la cuisine et qu'il n'y ait aucun porte-manteau pour suspendre ses vĂȘtements dans les chambres ou salles de bain.

La cuisine est particuliĂšrement bien Ă©quipĂ©e – un vrai plaisir pour les amateurs de cuisine !La grande piscine chauffĂ©e est un vrai plus, trĂšs agrĂ©able Ă  toute heure de la journĂ©e, tout comme le jacuzzi, spacieux et bien chaud, parfait pour se dĂ©tendre. Expérience trÚs décevante pour un tarif exorbitant

Nous souhaitons faire part de notre profond mĂ©contentement concernant notre sĂ©jour du 8 mai. Le rapport qualitĂ©-prix est clairement inacceptable : nous avons payĂ© 1973,60 pour trois nuits, et les prestations promises n’étaient pas au rendez-vous.PremiĂšrement, la piscine venait tout juste d’ĂȘtre remplie, elle Ă©tait donc glaciale et inutilisable. Nous n’avons pas Ă©tĂ© prĂ©venus de cette situation, et avons mĂȘme Ă©tĂ© dĂ©rangĂ©s dĂšs 8h50 le jeudi matin par le pisciniste. Le jacuzzi Ă©tait dans un Ă©tat dĂ©plorable : sale, avec des piĂšces qui se dĂ©tachaient dĂšs l’activation des bulles. Contrairement Ă  ce qui est annoncĂ©, il a mis deux jours pour atteindre une tempĂ©rature correcte, et non une heure.De plus, plusieurs Ă©quipements annoncĂ©s ne fonctionnaient pas : la machine Nespresso Ă©tait hors service, tout comme le bain Ă  remous au premier Ă©tage – une information qui n’était pas mentionnĂ©e dans l’annonce. Certains Ă©lĂ©ments de mobilier Ă©taient Ă©galement dĂ©gradĂ©s, comme les poignĂ©es de portes qui se dĂ©tachaient, et nous avons constatĂ© un manque flagrant de vaisselle, notamment de verres.MalgrĂ© un signalement Ă  la conciergerie, nous n'avons reçu aucune rĂ©ponse ni assistance.Ce sĂ©jour ne correspond en rien Ă  ce que l’on peut attendre d’une location Ă  ce prix.
