Good location, close to the train station and the city centre. The room was clean, ok in size , but it smelled too much like a smoking room. The Wifi was free, but not usable as the bandwidth was really low. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I am not sure about the price / value - decide for yourself!
The hotel is in front of the train station and a walking distance to the capitol. (I recommend to take the jean jaures street to avoid prostitues fights). The bedroom are nothing amazing but clean. The breakfast is ok but a bit overpriced I guess. Internet high-speed when working. The most positive point about this hotel is the employees, I stayed 3 nights, met a few of them and they were all very nice, approachable and helpful. They do really make the difference during your stay.
We choose Hotel Occitania for it's location, as it was near the main train station. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and well equipped although the bathroom was rather lacking space. Ideal for an overnight stay.
Located right across from the Gare and next to the canal the setting is quite pleasant and handy to transport including the airport bus. There are also reasonable restaurants within a few minutes walk and some nice bars.Although we saw that there have been problems with noise at night we had a peaceful stay with no issues. Probably the Matabiau boulevard down to the Centre Ville is best advised at night but otherwise it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel itself gave us a very warm welcome, English and a number of other languages are spoken. Breakfast at 8 euro was very good and excellent value. The room we had was not large, but was more than adequate size wise with a extra large and very comfortable bed. The room was clean and well laid out and the floor we were on was serviced by a lift. We would happily stay here again, especially at what we felt was a very sensible price. Have given the hotel full marks although it is not five star or anything like it, but it is everything we want, clean , well located and well priced and we were made to feel very welcome by the management.
+ clean + friendly staff - noisy - awful neighborhood Paid extra for a superior room and got one right above the strip club with a view to the strip club's neon sign and a loud AC unit right outside the window. Poor noise insulation with speech audible from neighboring rooms and corridors. AC smell too bad to use. Not a 3* hotel as advertised. 1* or max 2* would set right expectations.
Budget hotel close to main railway station within Red Light District. Location is fine by the day but a bit seedy at night. Very friendly helpful staff with a great value breakfast at 8 Euros. Hotel has 5 floors with a lift. Room had a comfortable bed and bath. Short walk to main shopping street. Once inside the hotel, and during the day, the surrounds are not a big issue.
My room had tall French windows and was very clean. The sheets even seemed like they had been ironed. Nice bathroom. The staff was great. On the downside, my room was above the main street; too loud for me. To get to the hotel I had to walk along the Rue Bertrand de Born every night past prostitutes and various clubs. The hotel, however, seems a world away from that, safe and respectable.
We chose this hotel because it was near to Mathabiau station and only 15 minutes from the centre of town. Friendly and helpful lady on reception. Good sized room, comfortable beds and overall very clean.
We chose this hotel based on reviews and found it perfectly suitable for one night stay allowing convenient access on foot with suitcases from and later to the railway station.front rooms facing the canal were spacious clean and had double glazing which cut noise sufficiently for a good nights sleep. Be aware of some weirdos walking the area but during daytime hours we also found it an easy base from which to explore this pretty city and just around the corner on a main boulevard ewe had a very nice dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful and a simple breakfast is available . No problems also with our complimentary wifi
In fact although this this hotel is not in the nicest part of Toulouse, opposite Matabiau station, it's actually perfectly decent and clean. The room was an OK size. Friendly and helpful personnel, and a very nice breakfast with a fair choice of fresh food and drinks. No car park, but in the evening it's easy to park nearby , free of charge. Otherwise the station car park is about 100m away. Rooms at the front are a bit noisy in the morning during rush hour. But hey, it's practical and well situated. and there are perfectly reasonable restaurants situated close by.
