The lift had a mind of its own and needed a few presses of the button to arrive. Toilet seat was about to fall off in our bathroom, the shower would not stay up and was only a trickle of water anyway. Some carpets needed replacing in the corridors of the main hotel. However the staff were excellent (dining, bar and reception). Because we booked with Expedia and not direct with the hotel we had to pay £10 per night for parking, something that was not mentioned when we booked.

3nt break away.

Booked a 3nt stay with my 12 year old son. Plenty to do from bowling, amusements and swimming pools so kept him busy. The hotel is quite run down in places and my bed was awful as I could feel the mattress springs but made more comfortable sleeping on 2 quilts that I asked Reception for. The hotels are right next door to one another and they all link up and it's like a maze. At times felt so quiet walking up/down corridors as it's a vast place and seemed like hardly anyone around especially with it still being the summer holidays but different places were busy at different times. Breakfast was quite basic but tasty. A good overall break away and reasonably priced. **Just a heads up, If you do book through Hotels.com you will have to pay £10per night for parking.

The hotel is looking very dated, in need of repair, painting and there is an off putting musky smell on entering . It’s about ten years since we visited, I like the amenties but feel it has gone downhill the menus haven’t changed, and are very salty, they still play the same piano music in the restaurant as 10 years ago, which isn’t to everyone’s taste. Sorry I was looking forward to returning this year but won’t be coming back again. The bedroom was dark, depressing and it was difficult to watch the tv at the side of the bed .The springs were almost on the surface of the small bed making it uncomfortable. On the positive side the bathroom was good and I was given a mattress topper, which helped a little. Given a make over, it could return to its former glory.

Great location and beautiful view of the water from our hotel window. The room was clean, had plenty of power outlets and had lots of space to open suitcases and relax. The building doesn't have air conditioning but they did include a fan in the room which was very appreciated. Breakfast was a little confusing because there were apparently assigned tables but we weren't aware of it until an employee stopped us while getting food. Second attempt at breakfast wasn't any clearer as the table we were at previously was occupied by other guests so we just picked a spot and hoped we weren't taking someone else's table. The food was very good regardless. And the employees at reception were just wonderful! We were staying for a wedding and had flown in from the states so we were a little turned around. They were very understanding and were able to help us book a taxi on our last day. Would love to come back and stay at another one of the TLH resorts to try the spa features. Overall a nice stay.

Stayed as a couple for a late break. Have often seen this hotel but this was our first stay. Check in was quick with information about the complex, room was on the first floor and was a family room with a wardrobe like Narnia, like other reviews have stated the property is in need of updating, but this said everywhere is clean and well presented. The food is really good, generous breakfast buffet and good evening meals, although we did eat out one evening. All the staff are really friendly and helpful. Would we return …….. most definitely.

Not ideal for wheelchair users

The facilities were well equipped, however, as a wheelchair user, it was not easy to move around the site (no dropped kerbs where they were needed). Our family went to go to the indoor pool early (were given directions by the receptionist) - not an easy route for a wheelchair user, only to discover that the swimming pool was closed. It would have been helpful to have be advised this before going the distance.
