The photos are a misleading image of the hotel itself. The rooms are run down, the furniture is litteraly broken, the shower is really small and the bathroomdoors can’t be locked. It’s rated 3 stars but it’s worth 1 at most. Wouldn’t stay here ever again.

We stayed here during a short weekend trip. It’s a short walk from Younge Street and Dundas Square. The rooms weren’t bad. They were updated, but somewhat poorly done. The lobby was hot but the room had a window AC unit. The room comes with a microwave, mini fridge, and a coffee maker. Inside the mini-fridge was complimentary water and coke. The WiFi was decent. The staff was friendly. The only complaint we had was the loud construction in the morning.

this was a business trip, my colleague had to stay one additional night, so we booked here. upon check in he discovered bed bugs! he had to throw out his clothes and book a last minute hotel room for over $600. complete inconvenience and just disgusting.

A good price and a convenient location, but not much else. The shower had no grab bar or grid on the floor-dangerous for folks my age. Not even a night table lamp, so the overhead light was the only one. Not even a rug on the floor. A few minor touch ups would have made a big difference. The people working there were helpful and accommodating, but the owner did not “waste” a penny making the place nicer. The breakfast food was a little strange-every sandwich has ham or bacon on it. Not cool for such a diverse city.

Not the best places to stay at but cheep and very nice staff. There is no parking so you need to park public. From the hotel to Yonge street you will pass by quarters that is not so nice. Take a cab if you should enter the hotel at night.

The room was one of the newly renovated ones, and it was lovely, clean, and very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel. They also serve breakfast in the morning with great coffee to start your day.

I was told by a friend that the location was not bad in the center of the downtown core. My friend failed to mention that it was only a catwalk away from George St. for anyone who hasn't heard of Toronto's well known "George Street" well needless to say its one of the most infamous for crime, drugs, and prostitution. Costed $160.00 which I figured is rather pricey but I figured for that price it wouldn't matter that its in a scummy and dangerous area that the hotel would make up in other areas. Unfortunitly my evening was a absolute disaster and I was not only out $160 but I was also down a place to rest my head only within the first hour of my check-in. I was fortunate that I found a graet Arbnb just down the street for a quarter of the price! So as the condition of the room it was nothing special. They didn't provide me with towels there was a very tiny towel that couldnt wrap around one leg, the soaps were awful, I seen a bug of some kind in the washroom on my way out. I was only there not even 30 minutes from check in and the hotel staff were knocking at my room door when my girlfriend dropped by with my brother both were who I was visiting in Toronto. I was told that I was not allowed to have any guests or company at all in my room! I indicated that my Brother was only coming to eat with me and he was going home. I was very upset considering after paying 160.00 to be close to my I was caught completely off guard? This was not mentioned anywhere when I booked the room? After only being there 1 hour from check in the manager had been arguing with me till finally he said that "I CAN PACK AND LEAVE". I stated that I am in Toronto on a business trip. That there was not indication that your hotel guests are not to have any visitors!!! I have never heard this EVER in my travels so I was lucky that my girlfriend was able to locate a Airbnb not far from there. I said "fine! I WASN'T ENJOYING MY STAY AT All! I WASNT FEELING SAFE OR SECURE- ESPECILALY WITH THE CRACK-HEADS AND ROWDYS I COULD SEE OUT THE WINDOWS. I will be going but you will be giving a refund! I think that's fair? Don't you considering I have been a great guest! I had been mislead and not only has it caused me a huge in convenience but I was supposed to be prepping for my presentation tomorrow and retiring to my bed early. Management refused to pay my money back all though I was leaving and hadn't been treated fairly when it came to having a meal with my family I was treated like a piece of garbage. I was even told if I didn't leave he was calling the police. I laughed cause at the end of the day the person who should be locked up should be Management of the Hotel! He was certainly the man who was taking money off customers and then finding reasons to kick them out with out returning the deposits or rental fee. MANAGMENT AT THE PEMBROKE INN IS DEFINATLY ROBBERS AND CON ARTISTS!!! I have to pay for a room through Airbnb last minute and a taxi over there! I was at the Pembroke Inn not even an hour, nothing but problems. Pembroke Inn their Management is making the rules up as they go!!! My advice to you is STAY AWAY from the PEMBROKE INN!! Staff was rude and discriminated against me being a good looking young entrepreneur business man. Th e room was small and not very clean. The WIFI was garbage. The management was so awful and apparently you are not allow to have a visitor if you stay there!! Make sure if you are planning a trip to Toronto that you try to avoid not even my family and my partner over to have supper they were not staying over in the room but I was told to leave and no refund as a result of aa rule that was not indicated prior to rental!!! I RATE THIS DANGEROUS DIRTY DUMB DUMP---- 5 THUMBS DOWN!!!!

The perfect location if you're going to a concert at the Phoenix! The building itself was a little dated (cracked outlets, paint chips, etc) but the room was very stylish and felt roomy for its size! Amazing customer service too! We really appreciated all the little touches like a diffuser included in the room and complimentary drinks in the fridge! Only complaints are that the air conditioner is VERY loud so if you're a light sleeper this might be an issue, and similarly, the blinds aren't the best so it's pretty bright in the room very early which disrupted our sleep a little. Overall very impressed with the customer service and the special touches! Great value for the location and price. Will definitely stay here again!

I had one of the worst nights in hotels in my life. The room was noisy, thin walls made hear a couple having sex all night. In the middle of the night I was awaken by a really loud noise from a water pipe behind the wall near my bed. In the morning there was no hot water in the shower - and it was freaking cold. DO NOT STAY HERE.

I had to book in to hotel quick what a mistake not safe door in rooms so unsafe. Had to move rooms did not make any difference still un safe bad area junkies all over the place. Staff not very helpful l checked out after one night as was not staying her for 8 nights the had no safe to keep my passport and money safe glad l moved it would made my trip feel un easy find some wear else cost a bit more but at least l was safe my friends who live in Toronto could not believe l was staying there
