It’s not a bad place but not good either. Convenient because it’s close to the office, it’s clean - and that’s where the good stuff ends. Lots of noise coming from the busy street, no bar, very ordinary breakfast and very bad internet.
It’s 229 am And I can’t sleep. Don’t even ask about the Check in. The air conditioning is so loud I had to shut it off, and when I called downstairs they said they would notify maintenance in the morning and hung up. It’s unfortunate because at first glance it’s a very nice clean hotel. I’m here for an early conference and I’m exhausted.
Its not bad just needs some changes. No high chair for children which makes it hard to enjoy breakfast. Breakfast was okay. Hotel needs upgrades. Carpet is old and room was stuff and smelt funny. Front staff not very attentive or friendly.
Due to the extreme weather conditions on April 15-16 April we, a group of 47 students and teachers from Holland were completely stuck .... home stays cancelled, roads too icy and schools and UTSC closed due to bad weather conditions. General Manager Andre and his staff where incredible helpful. 10 rooms extra for our stranded teachers and students... the hotel lobby turned into a conference room that we could use to save our program... a lunch from Subway, coffee, tea, fruit, the juice machine switched on... pens. papers.... and only smiles and 'is there any other way we can assist you? In all my 20 years of global travels I have never experienced a hotel staff so client friendly and helpful.... so a BIG 'dank je wel' is in place.
We have stayed here probably 100 times! The staff is always friendly and helpful and the manager Andre will do everything in his power to make your stay perfect! It isn't a fancy hotel but it's always clean and well kept! The gym is small but quite sufficient as is the pool. Breakfast is good, not just a continental! Usually there is sausage or bacon and eggs waffles cereal fruit and yogurt coffee tea juice and milk! Everything u need! This hotel is also within walking distance of several restaurants and a movie theatre.
Staying here for 1 night while passing through Mississauga. Check in was very quick and easy. The room is big and comfy bed. The bathroom is well appointed and clean. Good place to stay. Close to many restaurants. Indoor pool and exercise room.
We had a one night stay at the Fairfield. I was really happy with the amenities. Our room was clean and spacious. Lots of lights and outlets which seem to be lacking these days in hotels. The pool was fairly small but good enough. The beds were incredibly comfortable. We had a great night's sleep. We stayed on the 5th floor so we seemed to be pretty isolated from noise and traffic. Breakfast was typical. Cereals, eggs, sausage, breads, yogurt, oatmeal, waffles and fresh fruit. Apples, bananas and cold lemon water were always available.
We chose Fairfield Inn because of a good price on TripAdvisor and excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. While we hoped for the double queen room, we ended up with the king suite instead. Our girls loved the "couch that turned into a bed" so we were happy we ended up in the king suite. Breakfast was substantial with waffles, oatmeal, eggs, sausage and choice of yogurts, breads and cereals. Our only regret was that there was no crispy bacon. As they do at every hotel we stay at, our girls loved to pool, too. Overall, a wonderful stay!
This is a review about the Fairfield, but in truth, from my vantage point, The Fairfield is in fact, 'Andre' the Manager of the place. Does this guy ever sit down or have a break? From the authentic 'welcome back Mr Klein' (before i even get to the front desk) to his unwavering attention at breakfast (he cleans tables and preps food stations too?) there seems to be no aspect of service he isnt personally involved in. Its that attention to detail that guarantees a great stay and return customers. I had to leave after one short day because there were no available rooms (no surprise there!). I would have stayed the week, but instead ended up at a Holiday Inn. Same rates, v dissimilar experience. Every staffer at the Fairfield takes their queues from Andre, each genuinely seemed ecstatic to serve. And in the day and age, thats a rare quality indeed. Keep showing them how its done Fairfield Inn.
Once again, our travel plans were chiefly responsible for choosing this hotel. It simply made sense. Seeing as how it served as a ‘base station of sorts for us, we weren’t looking for out of the ordinary amenities. The hotel completely met our expectations in this regard, BUT exceeded our expectations by way of service! When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by a young lady (Tamana). She was all smiles and welcoming, as if we were visitors to her home. Better yet, to her parents’ home. It was all in her demeanor and the conversation she engaged us in. And when we inquired into a room change, she quickly went about making it happen. There was no ‘back up’ excuses laid out, or talk which creates a feeling of indebtedness. She simply got it done. All with a smile. She is the type of first-contact any business would want. Setting the stage for our stay, any and all interaction with staff that we had was of similar course. Our room was very comfortable; spacious, nicely-appointed, and clean! Of special interest, the pillows were extremely comfortable and the towels, quite soft. Once again, clean! Though the shower/tub was on the smaller side, we found the bathroom provided ample space. The hotel offers a lounge (an extension of the lobby) as well as a complimentary breakfast, which we did not partake of, simply based on schedule. We did see patrons enjoying themselves in both regards. In spite of the lobby/lounge being rather busy with jovial guests, none of that translated to the room floors, as the halls were very much quiet. There is also a gym and pool available, which we did take full advantage of. The location was in close proximity to various interstates, so managing our itinerary was seamless. Overall, we were very much satisfied in the outcome of this ‘blind’ choice and would most certainly stay there again.
