Overall, our stay was average with a mix of positives and concerns.
We requested early check-in, which was denied due to cleaning. The next morning we were allowed to drop off bags, but less than 20 minutes after leaving, we were told cleaning was complete. This raised concerns, which were confirmed upon return. The unit did not appear properly cleaned—counters were sticky and dusty, the bathroom and shower (including tracks) were dirty, and windowsills had not been cleaned in some time. Walls were scuffed with missing paint, and some finishes appeared poorly done (e.g., a vent taped to the ceiling).
The layout worked well for our family, with two bedrooms, kitchen, living space, and laundry.
There were also maintenance issues. The hot water only reached lukewarm temperatures throughout our stay. I messaged the host about this and noise from upstairs tenants late at night. While they responded about the noise, the hot water issue was not addressed. The kitchen sink also would not hold water, making dishes difficult.
The location was farther from downtown than expected, but manageable via Uber to Bramalea GO for transit.
Overall, the space met basic needs but requires a thorough cleaning and better maintenance.
