Good: * Location (near the center and central train station), * clean rooms, * friendly hotel staff, * ergonomics of stuff in the room. All conveniently located in this tiny space. * Great variety of teas in the breakfast. * There is common-use kitchen with fresh water available 24/7. Not so good: * Ventilation is constantly blowing cold air to your head while sleeping, not matter if the heater is on or off. It is not a broken vent, it is just bad design. * Breakfast was "continental". It means VERY basic. We did not expect it bad on many good reviews. We literally needed to find a place to eat right after this breakfast. Food and even water were periodically ended, and you needed to wait until it was back. Eggs, for example, were never back. One time, there was only one serving person, and he did not speak English and there was no description of the food.

The room was a great size for a solo trip, clean and quiet. The location was very close to Kyobashi Station. It’s a 15 min walk to Tokyo Station but save your luggage wheels and just take a taxi. I never tried the ramen place across from the hotel but there is a hidden vending machine in the alley behind the hotel. I sat in the common area and the iron once. On my last day I found the light switch for the mirror was on the side of the sink. Hahaha.

Clean and quiet rooms. Bed has a soft comfortable mattress. I recommend asking for extra pillows for the room. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Onsite laundry is helpful and the lounge sitting area on the second floor is super convenient. Normally I don’t get hotel breakfasts however the one here was really good and convenient.

Air conditioning was a little warm and centralized if I’m not mistaken. Laundry was good but dryer/drying was not as effective as I’d hoped. Staff was fantastic and no serious complaints at all. The rooms were a little smaller than I expected but given the location - this should not be a surprise . Would recommend for a budget conscious traveler and still rate the hotel clean and safe.

The two biggest problems with lyf are that it's an uncomfortable cardboard box painted poorly and designed to be uncomfortable under the guise trendy. The other biggest problem is that despite the Orbitz promise of you only pay what you see online they charge additional fees at the front desk and don't provide receipts.
