Villa Nico by Escape Home

You will find the charming Villa Nico a short walk from the centre of the popular Matagorda area in Puerto del Carmen. The variety of facilities such as restaurants, bars, cafes, shops and a beautiful sandy beach make it perfect for couples or families who want to relax and enjoy their own pool. The villa is furnished with good taste and with all the necessary comforts (wifi, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher, air conditioning, hair dryer). The interior is spacious and bright, where you can sit and enjoy satellite TV and DVD player. It has two spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms and a sun-drenched terrace, with sun loungers to enjoy the Lanzarote sun all year round, where you can relax, read or take a nap. The outdoor barbecue is designed to enjoy lunches or dinners outdoors during warm nights. The villa does not have private parking, however, it is in a very well-connected area where you can enjoy a pleasant walk, rent a bicycle or scooter, take the bus, taxi or rent a car if you wish.

Perfect villa, close to everything

Villa Nico was the perfect villa for our stay in Matagorda. It is located just behind the Sol Lanzarote Apartments, and approximately 150m from the beach. We even had a sea view. You are slightly overlooked by the apartment balconies, but as these are facing away from the beach, they are seldom used by the occupants and was not an issue. The area is extremely quiet and very close to the restaurants and supermarkets (approximately 150m). The villa was lovely and the kitchen, bathrooms and decor were modern and very clean. The management company were excellent and very quick to respond if we had a query. All communication with them prior to our arrival and when leaving was clear and easy to understand. The wall alongside the side entrance has had an opaque section added to the height which gives more privacy to the villa. The only issue was the pool could do with a really good clean as the sides were grey. Even so, we would definitely stay here again.

Great pre-christmas break

Relaxing good-value break at Nico again. Aircraft are quiet at this time of year so little disturbance from them but some of the delivery lorries from Sol Lanzarote next door can be a bit intrusive. Having the a/c is such an essential and it was a nice touch to have a few beers left in the fridge. Absolutely recommend if you want a well equipped villa with small pool and in easy walking distance of Matagorda Commercial Centre.
