The pictures for this on Booking.com makes it look amazing. It certainly isn't! The rooms are nothing like the pictures. We were allocated a room the size of a broom cupboard, with nothing positive to say for it. The room was tired looking and not clean. No air conditioning or balcony. Managed to get a refund and go somewhere else. Locals told us horror stories about the place. Definitely not for children or those less worldly, if you get my meaning. Whilst we were in reception, two separate complaints.
We booked this hotel based on the photos on Booking.com - in reality the hotel is absolutely filthy, check the photos. The common parts are even more filthy. We arrived in the early evening and were promised it would be cleaned by the reception staff. We went out for dinner and came back to find the room untouched. The cleaners are supposed to be coming in the morning, but we can't stay another minute. Neither my wife nor I have slept, our pillows stink of body odour and sweat. To be frank the room needs a deep clean and redecorating. Having just had an excellent stay at another Appart'City in Reims I'm struggling to see how this hotel can be owned by the same brand. Avoid this one of their hotels like the plague.
when i walk into this hotel i can't ignore how dirty and bad keep is everything inside. But most important is be careful to pay the room in advance!!! they don't give the room promise, and then they don't reimburse because they take the excuse of the internal policy! Next to the rail way, dirty and also thief! STAY AWAY!!!
The lack of cleanliness, from the lobby to the room, was intolerable. There was a smell of rotten eggs from the bathroom sink, which did not drain, and we were greeted each morning by "silverfish" bugs on the floor and walls that were also stained and filthy. The kitchenette was ill equipped to handle meal preparation. Although there were two stovetop burner discs, only one pan could fit on the cooktop due to the small surface space. Additionally, the cooktop was located directly over the mini-fridge/freezer rendering the freezer useless due to ice buildup. The noise from the train crossing, just outside the hotel entrance, was unbearable beginning at 5:08 a.m. and continuing until midnight. We expected that a hotel would be staffed on a consistent basis but beware that this facility has limited staffing hours during the day and no staff is there during mid-day, evenings or on Sundays and holidays. The breakfast was limited, often times stale, and the lack of staffing led to a dirty breakfast area. Entrance to hotel greeted guests with weeds, cigarette butts and often dog feces. Internet was a pain to work with. It was only after we complained that they provided us with a router for our room, even then it would “kick us off” without warning. Finally I would not ever recommend this hotel/apartment to anyone.
Bad idea, the room was utterly dirty: floors were dirty, walls were dirty and stained everywhere, bathroom was dirty, shower siphon didn't drain, bed blankets had suspicious stains. Worst place I slept in, even counting past student years. It made us ecape quite in a hurry. As a plus, you have to pay WiFi renting a wireless router to be placed on the floor in your room. Quite peculiar.
Just to clarify that I have given 1 star so to speak as I there is no option to give negative stars... We have been driving for about 2000 miles or over. On our way back from Italy we are stopping over at this place. One advise, if you have kids please do not stay here. The level of hygiene is absolutely atrocious. Only if I had booked a budget hotel !!!!! Website says to let them know about parking space if you need one. Sent them an email. So as you can imagine two families with 4 little kids. The lady when we checked in absolutely un helpful (Fadila). A very arrogant attitude and rude way of talking. She absolutely believes in her heart that she did us a favour by letting us stay at this place. If you see the pictures of the place apartment 3 to be precise. The place seemed as if it was not cleaned for a couple of months. Walls dirty black marks around the walls, smudge marks on all switches. After having a shower in that filthy bath, when we cleaned the bathroom floor the towels became almost black. Fadila when we showed the state of the flat said that it was fine as she had cleaned it her self. ( I would be very about her family if she calls this clean) the bedroom door would not close as bed in the way. Says on the website about free wifi but they charge €2 / day. Which Fadila specified that it runs out midnight. Even if u use it for an hour or two €2 will be charged again for the next day. As Fadila said that there is only 20 spaces for 60 flats so no parking available even if you let them know in advance. Parking charged at €5 a day for a secure car park. She spoke in French to another gentleman and mentioned that " these people think they need special treatment just because they have come from UK. Just because my wife had some questions to ask. Not knowing the my wife understands French. Then she turns around and also says in the conversation with my wife that ( he's tiring with her hand) MY MOUTH IS STILL MOVING, DID U NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT I SAID. This was said a couple of times. Yes near the railway line. So noisy. Positive note: the young girl next day. Was very helpful. I personally will not recommend this place to any one. Look at the photos and decide for your self. I could have taken more photos. But I thought that some more people would like to fill in the gaps. I am actually using their wifi to write this review.
We had booked a studio with kitchenette and a space in the garage in advance. Upon arrival we learned that, although everything had been payed that there was still an additional cost for the garage and for the wifi, although it says in the advert here on TA that wifi was for free. This is not acceptable. After all, the wifi broke down after the first day and wasn't fixed till we left. (The money for wifi was then refunded). The room was very basic. We had a double bed, and it comes with just one blanket. The kitchen supplies were a bad joke. Old and rusty cutlery, one champagne glass, three espresso cups, no coffee or tea mugs, no wine glasses whatsoever, two tiny saucepans big enough to boil an egg or two, but not much more and an ancient, unusable frying pan that would wobble about on the stove. It was a shame really, because we had bought food and intended to prepare it, but we had to skip our plans. Furthermore, no cutting board, kitchen knives, whatever. Then there is a sign that tells you to clean the kitchen upon departure, otherwise you will be charged extra. So you would have to go off to the nearby supermarket to buy cleaning supplies such as washing up liquid, a brush or a sponge, as you'll find nothing there. On a different sign it says that you have to take the garbage down to the trash next to the garage. Haven't seen that in a hotel. We were speechless. When we arrived there was half a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and we couldn't find more nowhere. So we asked the lady at the front desk the next day and learned that we had to by more toilet paper if we wanted it, as they only provided one roll per stay. The shower head was broken and kept sliding down, I mentioned at the front desk, but it wasn't fixed during our stay. But as I favor showering with my hands free, I had to improvise and fixed it myself using some plastic wrapper. On the upside though, the shampoo container inside the shower, which was empty when we arrived was replaced on the second day, as we also generously received additional toilet paper. For free! On the downside, the water inside the shower doesn't drain properly so your shower time is limited unless you deliberately want to cause a flooding. After all, the weather was nice...
Which is literally right next to the hotel unfortunately. We were on one of the higher floors but we could still hear and feel the vibration of the trains passing by. There is no A/C so if you leave the windows open you can really hear the trains. If you are not bothered by sound/vibration then it might be OK. If not, it might be a good idea to find a better spot – there are many options in the city centre for comparable prices. It's only fair to be aware so that you can make an informed choice.
It is a very familiar and good treatment from all the staff, the hotel manager helped us from the beginning to settle into the room and with a nice treatment. The rooms are very comfortable, very good cleanness and everything in general. Also is very well located with several shops around the area and a commercial center (Carrefour) near to the hotel. Victor & Raimundo.
I would like to thank the management of this hotel . It is my 10 th time that I come and I am very well received and having a very good service . Mrs Isabel is to be considered as a very good manager. I was involved with the Sheraton Group as financial advisor and have the opprtunity to set up the program and the set up of many hotels worldwide for this group and have the experience in dealing with hotels. Thank you Isabel for all kind of service that you are offering .
