I accidently booked here because there is another Nh in The Hague and either the app shuffled them up during my searches or I overlooked the address. So I will preface the review with this being a fine place to stay if you need to be or happen to already be in Zootremeer. If you don't, this is not a great option for either Hague or Amsterdam shuttling. The train is right next door but it's a lot of stops between here and Hague central, and about a $40 taxi or Uber ride to the happenings. There are no happens here, the whole town feels like a sprawling nuraing home. There is one decent sized store in walking distance and they close at 8pm sharp. The breakfast is delicious and varied buffet. Coffee is good too. There is a bar in the lobby as well. I had a room with a fairly comfortable bed, and very nice linens and blankets, with very nice views from the glass walls on two sides. It's views of the nursing home sprawl but pretty all the same. Ample space and less Spartan than other hotels I've stayed at in the region. Good shower and huge tub. Staff is polite and helpful and somewhat uninspired. The 150 euro hold for security though not an issue could be for some and is triple the standard in Amsterdam of 50 so take note if you're slackpacking. All in all I enjoyed my stay. I would recommend the place for a stay in Zootremeer (that means sweet lake city by the way, dutch lesson for the day), but I don't know why anyone would do that so I'm not recommending it on the basis of location alone, too far from the beaten path and not any chaper than the downtown hotels at this time at least. Car travelers may want to consider it as an option if the price is right though.
This place was perfect! We had three adults. They had a king sized bed for my husband and myself and a rollaway bed for my son. There was plenty of room. Had a nice desk, chair, TV and fridge. Lots of room for clothes (we were there for 9 days). And a nice bathroom. The staff was wonderful. It's in a great location. And there's free parking very close by. They also have free internet in the lobby or if you need it in your room, it's about $14 for 24 hours. Right across the street is a mall with a nice grocery store.
