We had an amazing stay and couldn’t have picked a better “beach” location for the second half of our Costa Rica trip.We traveled with two families—4 adults and 7 kids (ages 6–12)—and the setup worked well overall. The home is at the end of a quiet street behind a private gate, and the beach access is also gated, which made it feel very safe and secure.One thing to note: the first-floor bedrooms are only accessible from outside. With younger kids, we had an adult sleep downstairs out of caution. That said, the kids loved having their own space, and both areas had their own TV and kitchen.The outdoor spaces were a highlight. The pools were great, especially the upstairs pool and shaded porch/lounge area. We also made good use of the new grill. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials, and the internet was strong and reliable throughout.The location is excellent—an easy walk to Hemingway’s on the beach (we went several times), and close to the market and Playa Flamingo.We took a day trip to Tamarindo—fun for surfing (everyone was up in 15–20 minutes), but much busier than we preferred. Another highlight was the Beach & Jungle Horse Ride at the Monkey Farm—worth the drive, with amazing staff and a stunning beach.Overall, a fantastic spot for a family trip. We’d absolutely stay again.
