We stayed one night to evaluate this Tampa listing. Appliances were brand new (shipping tape still on many), and some furniture remained in packing plastic.Photos and description were highly misleading. The neighborhood is rundown. This is one of eight units across four duplexes in two buildings—undisclosed. There is only one entrance/exit (no rear access), despite pictures showing a backyard with washer/dryer and picnic table. The washer/dryer is actually shared in an outdoor shed; no picnic table or grill existed.The unit was newly furnished and partially renovated but had a stale odor (possibly covering cigarette residue). We found wall stains, dirt, cobwebs, a dirty sink, messy wiring behind furniture, and exposed old wiring under the kitchen cabinets. The front AC shut off in fail-safe mode from a dirty filter.Host denied the issues and offered excuses. We left after a sleepless night and did not stay a second.I applaud VRBO for working with me and doing what they could to do the right thing for me and for dealing with the situation!
