Spent the evening during an outing to Tampa. The property is on a busy throughfare which is currently undergoing major road improvements. Makes it a little difficult if coming to the hotel from the eastbound lanes. Surrounding businesses all appear to be commercial and light industrial. Check in was friendly and smooth. We were offered a choice of room locations and we selected first floor. Despite that and the relative location to the front desk and lobby the room was quiet. The room itself was satisfactory. No significant discrepancies noted. The bathroom had a jetted tub but the drain stopper leaked so water quickly seeped out of the tub. When we did have the appropriate water level the jetted tub worked fine. Breakfast was satisfactory. Standard fare. Unlike other hotels where they provide lodging receipt under the door overnight, this property requires front desk check out. All in all, no real complaints for a single night stay.
Arrived late night on a Saturday. Quickly checked out the room. Found a lot of items that should have been corrected by maintenance and housekeeping prior to my arrival. From water filled fridge, to stained linen, and even a half repaired wall in the bathroom. Not what I was expecting or have come to expect from the brand. Check in was great. The front desk was personable, kind and was easy to talk to. Don’t know why they needed to photocopy my ID, or charge my cc before my arrival. Found it strange. Oh well. Too late to do anything about it.
My husband and I stayed for two nights and the noise level from the street and inside the hotel from guests walking by our room was very loud. I am not sure whether it was because of the room we were in or not but we were able to hear everything (not very well insulated). The beds were just okay and the room was clean. I guess on the up side the property is maintained and the employees were friendly, the price was right. But again I woke up on many occasions throughout the night because of noise. Also they do not service the room unless asked too.
This Comfort Suites hotel is very convenient. It is right off I-75 in Brandon, Florida. We discovered it while looking for a hotel to escape the impact of Hurricane Irma. We had to evacuate from our home on a barrier island in Florida. The Comfort Suites is delightfully clean, with large comfortable rooms and great service. The staff goes out of their way to assure your safety, welfare and comfort. They are friendly supportive and very caring. The rooms are large, the bedding very satisfactory and the bathrooms spotlessly clean with nice amenities. The breakfast area provides a wide variety of excellent hot, breakfast choices, good coffee and muffins too. The room is used later in the day for guest to socialize, play cards and board games. We spent five nights in a safe and relaxing setting. We were also able to visit the upscale shops in the mall, within a mile from the hotel. All in all, a delightful and rewarding adventure! We will return in less anxious times!
We are choice members and booked this hotel last minute. They had a special for $80/night and I was very nervous. Normally you pay for quality....however I was pleasantly surprised! The room was clean, bed was a good quality and the hotel was clean and nice! The only problem was getting out of the hotel because of the bush street, but we handled it just fine!!
Since my usual hotels in the area (Marriott or Hilton family) were booked up in the area, I had to choose from several hotels I never stayed before. I picked this one because of the location and it had a large suite room. It was very inexpensive and I was not expecting much. The manager called my office a few times and left a message. It turned out there was an error in reservation system and they double booked me but a regular room was available. When I arrived at the hotel, the manager apologized profusely and gave me a discount. Their standard room was still very nice, spacious, and clean. I will definitely stay again when my regular hotels in the area are not available.
Room was very nice. Had multiple charging stations in the room. Very clean with a modern appeal. Free wifi, free business center, full gym, pool and the bathroom tub has a jacuzzi. The bed is so comfortable and they give you two soft and two firm pillows. It is a smoke free hotel but they have a nice outdoor designated smoking area. AND they serve free breakfast. Best hotel I have stayed at in a long time and you can't beat the price. I have paid more for so much less. I will definitely be staying at this chain again. Reminds me of the Marriot Residence Inn but so much more affordable. They have thought of everything!
This hotel is nice and clean. The hotel is very updated and we'll de cored. I definitely will stay there every time we travel to the area. It is very economical as well. They serve breakfast every day and although it is not cooked to order, they have a well variety of items away from the traditional continental breakfast choices.
There is two older woman that work the front desk at Comfort Inn & Suites. Great Customer Service, very accommodating to any request. Always makes it a very pleasant stay. They have a great breakfast buffet. Clean rooms with a lot of space.
We stayed here June 3, 2017. They were hosting a large Indian wedding and apparently did not take time to change all of the beds. My husband and I were about to take a nap around 5 pm. we turned down the sheet slightly and saw hair that did not belong to me. We decided to pull the covers all the way down only to find dried bodily fluids on the sheets. I went downstairs and the lady at the front desk gave me new linens to change the bed since house keeping was gone for the day. I asked her why I should pay a $140.00 to stay there for a night and change my own bed. She decided to come up and help us. Once she got up to the room we she ended up changing out the duvet cover and all. Not only were the sheets soiled but the blanket had blood on it. We stayed and went to the casino. But after all of this they only discounted the room $25.00. On this trip we stayed at 3 different hotels. The accommodations at the Drury Inn in Valdosta and the Dreamview in Clearwater were excellent. For the price of $140.00 a night and obvious lack of concern about cleanliness you could probably stay somewhere better for the same amount or less. The manager would not even come out to speak to me. There was a name of a manager on duty but no one ever came out to address the issue. In this age of all kinds of communicable diseases your guests in your hotel should never be subjected to having to handle someone else's bodily fluids dried or not. The bathroom seemed clean. I will not even mention the breakfast.
