We have stayed at The Governor’s Inn several times. It is in a good location that allows for walking. The only down side to our last stay was that, while functional, our bathroom sink had a large hairline crack in it. Looks like someone dropped something heavy. Due to COVID, breakfast was not offered, only coffee or tea. We would certainly stay there again, though.
A little dated with few benefits. While quaint, may just be considered old.
Wonderful charming hotel. Great location. I really enjoyed my stay.
The staff were great and very helpful overall. Each of the staff that worked there including my valet and the front desk clerks were all amazing. I was a little thrown off by not having valet service for parking on my last night, but overall my rental remained safe with the street parking. Again, the staff was great!
Good location for the capitol. Historic building and interesting architecture. Continental breakfast is better than most. Walls were very thin -- not much sound isolation.
Location was wonderful. Lobby was small and parking was limited. Historic feel was great
This place was great. Would rebook if I'm ever back in Tallahassee.
Beautiful building, great concept Hotel, room was damp smelling but clean, bathrooms need a upgrade.
We were in town for only one night, from the valet service through check-out there was never ay incidental request they didn't accommodate. Will definitely be going back to the Governors' Inn!
Price jacked up for the weekend and a lot of people unhappy with the breakfast fare/availability. Will be staying in Tallahassee frequently the next four years and might give another chance, but.....
The mattress really needs to be changed; we ended up both occupying the middle of the bed, which is OK if that’s what you’re looking for, but not good at all for trying to sleeep. Breakfast was frugal. Otherwise, good location.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. It was great having you here with us again. We are so very sorry you were disappointed in your room this time. I do hope it did not affect your stay too much. I am a bit confused by the "breakfast not offered" as we do have a "grab and go" breakfast between 8Am and 11Am each morning. It may not be our usual breakfast buffet but we do offer a variety of wrapped danish, fresh fruit, fruit cups, various types of yogurt, orange and apple juice, breakfast sandwiches and of course a variety of teas and coffee. We hope the next time you are with us you will be able to partake in our grab and go breakfast. Until then safe travels.

We do hope you will stay with us again if your travels ever bring you to the downtown Tallahassee area again in the future. We would love to get a chance to earn those last two stars from you. Until then safe travels.
Wonderful charming hotel. Great location. I really enjoyed my stay.
Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We love getting 5 stars (when it is out of a possible 5 especially) as it tells us we made our guest happy. We are all so happy you enjoyed your stay and we do hope you will be returning soon. Until them may the wind be always at your back and may the road always rise up to meet you.

Thank you for reviewing our hotel. We are happy that you found our staff helpful and amazing (we particularly loved that!). Normally we have suspended our valet service due to covid, but this past weekend being move-in for the FSU students we knew self parking all weekend would not work our well, so we reinstated the service to alleviate the rush. We have a great amount of parking around us and as the parking meters are free over the weekend a lot of people choose to self park anyway. We all can not wait until everything gets back to (our) normal. Until then please consider us again whenever your travels bring you to the downtown Tallahassee area again.
Dearest Anonymous I am so very sorry you did not seem to have enjoyed your stay with us. Of course you did not leave any reason for your displeasure with us and since you are Anonymous we do not know what room you stayed in. So I will just say sorry and hope you have a safe travels in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I am glad you enjoyed our location and our breakfast (though I do think it is a bit more then a 'continental' breakfast considering the smoked salmon, boiled eggs, cured ham, biscuits and gravy, greek yogurt, make your own waffle station, etc.-but it is just semantics). I do hope you will visit us again on your next visit to the Capital City. Until then may the wind be always at your back.
