This is my first trip to Taipei so Im quite anxious. My college recommend this hotel as a safe option for me. At first, this hotel looks smaller than I thought. Anyway after several trips to Taipei, turns out that most of 4-star hotels are like that. Ads: Reasonable price, close to metro station, a jacuzi and sauna facility, roomy. Cons: quite old, windows is small, not much fresh air and light, nothing attracted me, Waking distance to a park nearby but not much things there. I won’t consider this one for next trip.
This hotel is a clean, simple business hotel and one cannot expect elements of luxury. Room is simple with very basic amenities and there is no bath in the bathroom. Room temperature was not adjusted well so it was cold. But breakfast was relatively good for a business hotel, and the best was free espresso coffee and delicious cookies provided 24 hrs in the stylish and comfortable lobby, which was very nice and generous. There even was free sauna, though I had no chance to try. In sum, a not bad, modest hotel.
Speeding check in out. Polite and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room. Plenty and easy access to local transportation, taxi, bus and metro rails etc. Near to one of the local community core, so local foods restaurants and shops are nearby. There is a small gym, open garden and a small Japanese public bath at the roof.
Stayed here for 3 nite with my family. Check in process was about 10 mnts, and directly went to our room. Staffs were nice and helpfull. We loved the room. Clean, warm and nice room. We could see the Taipei 101 building from our room. Very good bath room, shower with warm water..and complete toiletries. Delicious breakfast. The location is great, near to MRT station. Surely will stay here again.
This is a business hotel with staff that are transactional but not friendly and some dressed shabbily (cafe staff hair looks uncombed; suits not buttoned). In addition, staff seems to have a preference to serve westerners than asian. They smile and greet the western guests but will not proactively do so with asian guests. The room cleanliness can be improved as we find cut nails on the carpet after checking in. The breakfast spread is not bad and they offer free coffee / tea at the lobby seating area. The seating room have ample seats and are nicely designed to look posh and presentable. The hotel is also within 3mins walk (almost fully sheltered) from 大安捷运站。
Check in they made me wait a little bit the room although it was already 3 pm Excellent the bell guy who could speak perfectly English Room super tidy and clean Very nice the welcome fruit platter and the English newspaper the following morning Negative point the room curtain couldn't close perfectly so the following morning 6 am a lot of light entered and couldn't sleep any longer Bathroom very nice Breakfast so and so could be much better especially in the food offer: no salmon had to ask continuously for cold water Final rate 4.5/5 for the category has chance to get a 5 if they improve the breakfast
Stayed for 5 nights. Room size is bigger than most of the budget hotels in Taipei. Staff seems a bit distanced but they are helpful. Yet the bed sheets are rough... not comfortable. Some small details like corner of the cupboard are not cleaned. Do not expect too much from the gym. Wifi speed is fast yet not very stable.
Pros: - Hassle free check in - Friendly staff - Good location: close to MRT and walking distance to spas, restaurants and cafes of Daan Cons: - Electronic panel which controlled the lights also didn't work and late at night we had to enlist the help of staff to replace it so we could turn our lights off and go to sleep. - Small, tired-looking room - Looked out directly onto the MRT track so kept the curtains closed the entire stay - Mysterious wet patch on carpet in bedroom (leaking plumbing?) - Smelt of cigarette smoke throughout hotel including in our room - Had issues with the TV (remote control / cable TV box didn't work) - Buffet breakfast was pretty average: some quality fresh bread would be a huge improvement Overall, despite the efforts of the friendly staff this was a very disappointing stay. I found this to be very poor value and way below expectations for a mid-range hotel. The management should focus on getting the basics right - i.e. making sure the rooms are fresh looking and smelling, with no plumbing or electrical wiring issues, and with a TV that works. Unfortunately I would not recommend to a friend, and I definitely would not book at this hotel again.
Centralised location, near to the metro station (Da'An), which is convenient to get to other parts of Taipei. Friendly staff and spacious rooms - I was very well taken care of by the staff, especially the chambermaid who strategically rushed into my room to make up the room while I was having breakfast. I am very impressed by the speedy service! Breakfast is great, especially the braised pork rice and egg! (If you want something different, there is a local breakfast store just beside the hotel which serves great wraps!) Weather was rainy during my visit and hotel provides umbrellas for guests heading out. :)
This business hotel was very well located and was just 4mins walk away from Daan Metro. Many touristy places were easily accessible from this station via either the Red/Brown line. Stayed in their Executive Twin bedroom and room was spacious and comfortable! There were many complimentary surprises which my mum and I enjoyed with elation! There was a 24hrs coffee lounge which serves many variety of coffee and tea, in addition to this, daily home made delicious cookies prepared by the hotel chef. We received exceptionally warm services and had great conversations with Tina, the lounge personnel! The hotel even provides indoor & outdoor Hot Spring cum Sauna rooms which would be prefect for those visiting during winter period! There were welcome fruits in the room and even the minibar and snacks were complimentary! The room provided fast wifi without the need of re-login. We enjoyed the Chef's freshly baked bakery every morning, besides all the other tasty breakfast selections. Will be back again in future!
