Decent business hotel, convenient location only 3 Min walk to the Da-an MRT station. I always stay here when coming to Taipei for business trip. Room is spacious if you book the Fullerton room type. Their complimentary breakfast is my favorite.
The title says it all! Got there seemed ok if a little dated, reception staff were fine and the lobby smelled of welcoming coffee. We were told with pride free coffee and cookies were available 24 x 7, we had a quick look but weren’t tempted. Got to the room first impression were low ceiling and not too much daylight, a bit dingy. The furnishings echoed this but the major issue was a chemical smell. It was then that we noticed An area of carpet near the bathroom which looked like someone had barfed or drop something and only a half hearted attempt was made to clean up. The whole place needs a lick of paint and a renovation. We told the front desk and they bought in an air cleaner but no action on the carpet. Truth be told it’s a great location a 5 minute walk to the metro, 2 stops to Taipei 101! Lots of interesting places to eat. It’s quiet too. Shame they don’t invest, just one more thing it’s winter and there is no heating the air on only seemed to cool real chilly in the room. So ending where I started, it’s nothing like Fullerton Singapore, but then neither is the cost.
Just a short 5mins walk to hotel from mrt exit. Breakfast selection is good and tasty. Room size is decent and cleanliness is good. Staffs are welcoming, warm and attentive. On my first day’s breakfast, I couldn’t find mineral water on the breakfast area and so I asked the waitress for one. The next few days, the same waitress offered me a mineral water straight away after I sat down. She definitely is very attentive. This small gesture actually left a good memory. Definitely recommend this hotel!!! Worth the price!!!
This hotel took us about more than an hour away from the airport by bus & a subway. The hotel is very clean & the staff is very welcoming & speak good English. For those people who loves a firm bed, then this is for you. We slept very well & got the rest we needed. The bathroom provides all the amenities you’ll need which includes a bathrobe & a bath slippers. Breakfast was excellent! It has a mixture of both Western & Asian Cuisine, plenty of choices & they can even cook your eggs to your liking. I only gave 4 stars because of 3 things: 1) Light - can’t turn off one light because the main power was connected to each other. I just used my eye mask & still slept like a baby. 2) Shower - Because of the faulty design, the water leaks out the shower glass doors, so we ended up with a very soaking bathroom floors. 3) Distance - wish it was closer to the airport. For those who would spend more than a night, this place is probably worth the distance.
This hotel is warm, comfy and a practical stay in lots of ways. Though the lobby music (currently which is flute instrumental in the morning and then switches to Christmas instrumental in the afternoon) bleeds into the rooms so if you are jet lagged and sleeping you can hear it, or if you are trying to get some work down you can hear it. It feels a little bit like going slowly insane. I called the front desk twice and both times I’m not sure if they actually turned it down. It seems to be turned off around 9pm. And turned back on at 9am. Like clockwork. Having repetitive music playing is heartbreaking. I wish there was some greater understanding of how distracting and annoying this aspect of the hotel is. It’s bad both for rest and for work. Alice
We just returned home from the hotel and I have mixed feelings about it. The outside as well as the lobby of th hotel are very new and beautiful. The rooms are outdated and need to change ASAP! Bathroom is renovated and beautiful but the room needs bigggg change!! There is also an awkward smell every time you enter the room from the outside... not very pleasant... I’m a world traveler and never have I encountered this kind of smell.. thank god it was only for two nights... The only reason I am rating this hotel a 3, is because of the nice staff, decent breakfast, new bathrooms, and location. If the rooms get renovated & that certain smell disappears this hotel will be amazing.
There was my business trip to Taiwan Medical University. I decided to book Taipei Fullerton hotel. This hotel is found in the heart of Taipei city, close to public transportation station (Daan station is only a couple of minutes of walking from the hotel). So, is very easy to reach TMU, the World Trade Center and many attractive sites as well. The hotel staffs are very nice, and always ready for taking care. Rooms are well equipped, true high speed internet, for free. The room are clean and comfortable. The price is a bit cheaper than the other hotel in the ASEAN countries. Only one problem: food. Breakfast for free, but limited dishes. Dishes are mostly local. But, a lot of restaurant can be found around. So, do not worry about food.
Nice centrally located hotel, Great pillows, nice rooms and near train and Buss routes. Very attentive staff and front desk, currency exchange, laundry and more. At least half of the staff could speak English and were very pleasant.
My first visit to Asia certainly required to be made feel at home and this hotel with the staff made that seem quite seamless. Great location and close to a NRT station. Street seems pretty busy and close to some major attractions so a good point from which to part. Room is small with almost no view but comfortable -the snacks in the room are included in the room fee as are the soft drinks. Buffet. Breakfast was included in my room fee, options were that many so on day 4 you may be getting a tad exasperated - only reason why I didn’t give it a higher rating.
Very nice and clean hotel, I've been here for some nights during my first business trip in Taipei. Staff very polite, the hotel is clean and located in a good area of the city. In terms of services, good both the wi-fi and the breakfast. Just consider that there are no restaurants in the building, but a room service is anyway available. Price very reasonable, I surely will come back again here for my next trip.
