My friends and I stayed in this hotel for 5 days and 4 nights last week. We enjoyed our stay for the following reasons: 1) HOTEL STAFF. the hotel staff were nice, polite, friendly and accommodating. When we requested for early check in and late check out, they did not hesitate to accommodate our request. I should mention Ms. Livi, Ms. Joe and Ms. Claire of the Front Desk Office. The staff, especially Mr. Andy and Mr. Lucas were helpful when we asked for directions and suggestions for places to eat or visit. Ms. Mendy of Housekeeping was very patient in responding to our every request. Because it was raining the whole time we were there, the reception staff always made sure that we brought hotel umbrellas with us. 2) LOCATION. The hotel is about 5 to 7 minutes walk to Shunglian station, thus it was easy for us to take the train. It's also near convenience stores and restaurants. 3) CLEANLINESS. The hotel is generally clean. We have fresh towels, bottled water and toiletries every day. Although we had problems with the television, our room is generally warm and comfortable, We all had a good sleep every night. However, the breakfast spread is obviously catered to the Japanese taste, the Japanese being their main client. There are very few choices for non-Japanese like us. There was one morning when the Chef who was doing the omelette seemed oblivious that I had been waiting for my turn for some time and refused to acknowledge my request. Thank God for this lady, another restaurant staff, who made sure that I would get my omelette. She even brought it to our table. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable stay. I would recommend the hotel to my family and friends who are planning to visit Taipei. I also look forward to staying in this hotel in my next trip to Taiwan.
Enjoyed my stay here. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Had an early morning tour and they packed breakfast pack for us since we couldn’t enjoy the complimentary breakfast that day. Location was gd too. Near Mrt.
Was on a 7D6N tour group in Taiwan. My 5th & 6th nights' stay was at Gloria Prince Hotel, which was a disappointment. The hotel gave us 3 towels for both nights, even though we had reiterated that there were 4 occupants already on our first night stay. The breakfast was also a disaster, with a poor selection of variety & the chef doing the omelette never even acknowledged your request.
Today I wanted to relax at the lobby with a Taiwanese bubble drink and some pastry, so I walked across the street, bought a bubble drink and went back to the lobby to buy some pastry at the hotel which I heard was very good. After purchasing the pastry, I was asked to leave and I was not allowed to sit there to enjoy my drink and pastry!!! I was told because I did not purchase a drink from them, I could not sit and enjoy my time there.... it was not busy, I did buy something from them, and they did not serve any bubble drink. So why can’t I sit there?!?! I really want to know how can I enjoy a bubble drink and pastry there?!?! Maybe because I’m a Taiwanese or I didn’t spend enough money?? Either way very upset, ad will not go back there!!! This really ruined my whole day...
I was there for 4 nights. One night out of 4 could not sleep at all. The fire alarm for entire 5th floor hallway keep beeping every half hour or so for few hours. I could not sleep at all for entire night. I called the front desk twice and they say are working on it. I ask the manager to call me second day but no one give a courtesy at all to me to explained what’s going on. It is the hotel that I would not recommended to be there again.
Good location hotel about 10 min drive from song san airport. Not farway to zhongshan mrt that will be appealling to shoppers. The only setback is aircon leak during raining. The staffs were polite. The buffet breakfast was good.
Room adequately furnished with all amenities except TV viewing / signals interrupted too frequently (transmission / connection protocols ??). All staffs polite and good service. Location is in city proximity and can be busy all day ( many eateries, entertainment spots abound though, so convenient to explore )
Enjoyed our stay, staff were very nice, room was good, very clean and quite and the bed was very comfortable. Hotel is around a 10 minute walk from the MRT station, there is also a night market about 15 minute walk away. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet, would stay here again.
I went there to attend my friend’s wedding. The hotel is old-fashioned but very classy. The staff there were very helpful, effluence and friendly. It is also very convenient as it’s only 5 mins from the MRT station and close to the night market.
We planed this tour for celebrating my birthday and we got 2 cakes from hotel after check in. These cake are from L'idiot bakery downstair the hotel and tasted good, it's really a big gift for me. Hotel location is good, there're many 24-hours Taiwanese traditional food around hotel, and a 24-hours drug store is also in walking distance (about 30 seconds). The breakfast is also delicious, it's good to have this breakfast in the morning with many kinds of local vegetables and fresh fruits.
