The location cannot possibly be beat, with a world class view of the southern tip of Ortigia and the Ionian Sea. Furnishings for such a high-end property could be improved, especially the wine glasses that literally crumbled when we hand washed them (we replaced them with sturdier glasses). End tables in the living room would be a plus, too. Small details, yes, but ones that raise the impression of the property for very little outlay.

Lovely apartment - perfect location

although 'classic' in look and feel - everything worked out perfectly and we were very happy with our rental in ortigia.

Beautiful view

Beautiful place with incredible views! Loved our stay. We fell in love with Ortigia while staying here. One small note: because it had central air con, a couple of the rooms didn’t cool completely which meant we needed to use a small fan overnight. Otherwise the perfect accom.

Beautiful Ortigia

The view from the apartment is stunning and the furniture is very comfortable and clean. The plumbing is old as part of being in an old building.

Beautiful ocean view

Very nice apartment with amazing sea view. Well furnished, beds fairly comfortable but a little on the hard side. Location is excellent for exploring the island on foot. The place was clean except for the floors. Highly recommended.

Great location. Everything close by. Apartment fit our needs. We went out to eat for all meals. If you are planning to cook, not much in the way pots and pans. Elevator a nice feature.

Great location and amazing view

Overall, this apartment is very nice. The views are phenomenal and you feel almost like you are on a boat looking out over the water. It is spacious and comfortable for 2 couples, even though the bathroom for the second bedroom is down the hall. We liked being on the south end of the island where it is quieter. The island is small enough that it was easy walking to everywhere. The listing is accurate and the photos show what it looks like well. The only thing unpleasant surprise was the lack of water pressure. There was very little water pressure, making showers difficult. One guest with thick hair found it impossible to wash her hair.

This is a beautiful apartment.

We were very happy with this apartment. It is spacious and has amazing views. There is privacy and it is quiet for the most part. We loved being in the apartment. Ortigia is really interesting with many good restaurants and shops. It is a walking city which is ideal for us. Driving to the apartment is an adventure. Parking is a challenge. There isn't a good explanation of the parking situation until you meet someone at the aprtment for checkin in. Overall a teriffic place to stay.

Fabulous Ortigia

Excellent location, beautiful ocean view. Very minimal cooking accommodations in the apartment. No plates? No glasses? Really didn’t matter that much since we eat out at the near by fantastic restaurants.

Très bel appartement spacieux très bel vue sur la mer, dommage qu'il y est un gros problème de stationnement il fallait faire 3 kms pour prendre la voiture !!! sinon la police veille et mets facilement des amendes ! Autrement Syracuse est toujours aussi agréable!
