Excellent Stay in Ortigia

The location could not have been better. Great view of the Sea from the balcony. Very spacious. We spent 2 weeks at the apartment and were very pleased!

The highlight of the property is the view from the terrace and the close proximity tomso many lovely attractions by walking. We loved the Leonardo and Archimedes Museum and enjoyed watching.the swans and ducks in the natural pond on the doorstep of the property, along with the walk to thw beautiful Caslte.. We would love to return one day. It was the perfect apartment for us. Thank you

Very nice communication, fresh sheets and towels, equipped kitchen, roof terrace view, GREAT location for walking everywhere, swimming beach 5 minute walk.

Lovely apartment in great location

Apartment is on top floor and is spacious. It is in a great location and the terrace provides a nice view over the sea especially at sunset The property was clean and has all the amenities needed (however does need a mirror as only one small bathroom mirror in whole property ) I would recommend and stay again

Great location and terrace

A good find! This apartment is upstairs and has a nice view of rooftops and the water. Good kitchen, clean, great communication with Francesca in the rental office. Walk and wander everywhere. Mariano's for dinner around the corner. Pebbly, rocky beach 5 minutes walk. Co-op market for whatever you need.

Perfect location on Ortigia

The host had someone there to greet us and check us in upon our arrival. Much appreciated! We loved the terrace overlooking the harbor, where we enjoyed the view and a nice breeze. The bed was comfortable and we had an adequate number of towels As for location, this apartment is perfectly situated near cafes, restaurants, shopping, historic buildings. We walked a short distance to hop on a boat to tour the island from the water at a reasonable price. Take the tour if your schedule allows, you will be glad you did. The only caveat worth mentioning is the lighting in the stairwell and what appeared to be construction debris on the stairs leading to the apartment.

Wonderful view-treacherous clumb

Wonderful location in Ortigia, close to shops and restaurants. Four unlit flights along crumbling plaster walls lead to a two bedroom section of the apartment. Another narrow flight with no railing leads up to a sunny kitchen and modest living room. A small deck with views of the bay and harbor are what make this apartment a rare find.Check in is a breeze with helpful staff. And that’s where this story takes a header down the stairs of mismanaging a long term rental.It seems a rental of 25 days does not qualify for an exchange of linens and towels. For a fee clean linens will be dropped off. Requests to reason and logic were ignored in the name of company policy. In their favor, it only took management 6 days to replace the broken washer. We like the apartment and its quirky charm. The stubbornness of the management running this apartment rates no star.

Very disappointing

We were very disappointed in this apartment. It looks appealing on the VRBO site but was disappointing once we were there. The 2 flights of stairs go up through a dirty and crumbling stairwell. The manager gave us very limited information about the apartment before leaving. The aprtment is very spartan, especially the kitchen. The pots and pans were beat up and unappealing to use. There were no electric outlets near the kitchen counter to plug in the electric kettle. We had to make 2 calls to get an extension cord with adapter and had to plug it in near the floor! There were only 3 bent/broken clothes hangers in each bedroom. Very inadequate lamps in the bedrooms and living room. Terrace furniture was dirty. Kitchen sliding door was very dirty with bird excrement on the window. Location is very noisy with loud music playing daytime and into the evening. I would not recommend staying in this apartment.

Two Terraces and a Thousand Regrets

I booked this place with the blind optimism of someone who’s never read a review and believes in the power of “charm.” Spoiler alert: I was wrong. This apartment has the emotional warmth of a tax office and the structural integrity of cardboard.Let’s start with the good: the location is fantastic and the layout with two terraces is super cool. Also, shoutout to Olga from Wonderful Italy—she was the one shining light in this dark VRBO fever dream. Helpful, kind, responsive. Truly didn’t deserve to be managing what I can only describe as a a place where furniture goes to die.Now… the apartment itself. Imagine IKEA furniture left outside during a storm, then dragged into a room and lit with flickering prison lighting. The kitchen was stocked with the absolute minimum. The shower? A gentle misting. Occasionally, the bathroom released an odor that could summon ancient demons.Some of the towels and bed linens had already lived rich, full lives. One of the comforters had, uh… been through things. To their credit, Wonderful Italy did send cleaners back immediately.Overall, this place could be amazing with a little love, a lot of bleach, paint and maybe an interior designer who isn’t legally blind.

OK, dog med en del mangler. ALT for meget kommunikation og ting man skal tage til før indtjekning.

Stedet: Der var en stol der var gået i stykker og der manglede overdækning på en meget slidt terrasse. Der var INGEN håndsæbe / shampoo, klude til aftøring af borderen. Kommunikationen: Vi var 7 forskellige steder på 14 dage. Allerrede 5-7 dage inden vi skulle komme frem begynder der at komme SMSer med alt muligt. Det er der INGEN af de 6 andre steder der har gjort. Og det er virkeligt stressende at skulle forholde sig til ting når man bare vil holde en afslappet ferie. Hvor om alt er ville de have fat i os med bl.a. ankomst tid, og da vi kom til dagen hvor vi skulle til denne her lejlighed, svarede vi 3-4 timer før ankomst at vi kom. De svarede IKKE retur på 2 SMSer, så 1 time før ringede vi til den og vi kunne først få en tjekin til 3-4 timer efter, selvom vi var i byen. Vi brokkede os kraftigt og lige pludseligt kunne vi komme ind i løbet af 30 minutter.

Nice clean appartment

The appartment was super for us four. Very clean and nice, og situatet perfekt. And the people in the byrå were also very nice and helpful. But we have rented many times between Home away rentals- in Italia and many other contries. But never befor have we been asked for 200 euro in cash - photo of our passport and only one key. Only one key for four adult people is not so ok. I do not why it was like this for this appartment.
