I've stayed at the hotel on multiple occasions now for work. After a long day I come into the hotel and am greeted with a warm and friendly hello as they remember my name. The service is fantastic, the food in the restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced. Rooms are always clean and modern. Great gym and pool facilities, also a BBQ if I feel like cooking a steak for myself. This place definitely makes it easier whilst working away from the family and my home.
After paying $160 for a basic room my expecations were not high. However I was blown away by the quality of the room. It was clean and very comfortable. The shower was big and the views amazing. Will return.
My wife and I regularly stay at this hotel when visiting family in a retirement home. The rooms are large, the bed very comfortable and whilst the restaurant doesn't always open the breakfast is adequate for what you need
We arrived at the hotel about 3pm. I thought the traffic would be diabolical, but was helped by a set of traffic lights situated down the road. The room was of good size and had in it microwave oven, tea/coffee station, fridge, hair dryer. Being winter it was heated against the cold outside, perhaps a little too hot. The staff were helpful. Enjoyed a 3 night stay.
stayed 4 nights, rooms a little dated, and kept nice and clean, easy walking to restaurants and shops in lane cove, short walk to Artarmon station, free parking, did not use restuarant menu looked looked OK, had a couple of drinks at bar staff friendly
I called this hotel and spoke to a gentleman about booking a room. It wasn't the cheapest option but I wanted somewhere comfortable and nice. We have always recommended the property to clients as it is close to our offices and they haven't complained. I was told that there was a charge for in-room WiFi but there was WiFi in the lobby. What he omitted to tell me was that there is also a charge for that. Are you kidding me? This has made me so angry that I will never use this place again. Really? The rates down the road are cheaper and the WiFi in the lobby is included there. I would have been fine with it had I not been blatantly mislead.the website is ambiguous now that I re-read it. It should clearly state Charge for WiFi in lobby as well or why bother splitting the two?
I stay here whenever on business in North Sydney. The service is great and the staff are always so polite and welcoming after a long day. The location is great too-on a main road and quickly accessible to the northern suburbs.
When I think about staying in an hotel no matter if it's for business or pleasure it just needs to be comfortable especially the bed. This hotel is average: Beds are small and why are we in 2017 still using sheets and blankets? every night a struggle tangled up sheets and either me or hubby won the fight and ended up with a blanket and sheet the other just with a sheet. The rooms feel quite cramped and dated they tried to make it feel renovated but probably stuck in the eighties. You only get one little tube of hair/body wash even though we were there for a week with 2. So no double toiletries or even a conditioner or body lotion. On the plus there is a microwave fridge and some cutlery. If you leave the window open for fresh air at night you have to get used to the Pacific Highway traffic. Haven't used the restaurant and pool area just doesn't look inviting. Plus side free parking. Why do we still need to pay for wifi??? The elevator is the scariest in the country! It bounces up and down before you step out! The smell in the hotel .... smoke/airco/old??? Location is ok you can walk to Lane Cove and the train station. We have been twice but will ask work to book a different hotel next time
WE stayed one night after getting off plane and did not want to face 200 k drive after 11 hour flight. For the price we found it quite good .The reception and dining room have obviously had a recent update and look quite smart. The bedroom was fine for our needs, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom modern with good shower. Good big TV. Continental breakfast fine for $15. The only big problem was the lift has broken down and may take some time to fix. As we left suitcases in the car and only carried overnight bags up one level this was not a problem.
I stayed here for 4 nights in two adjoining rooms with 4 others. First thing we noticed was that the rollaway bed was not present. It was not a problem though, I called reception and spoke to Steven and he came, got the bed, set it up and brought extra towels and toiletries. His service was great. It is located on the Pacific Highway, there is no turning lane into it, so depending on which direction you come from, you will need to circle the block or do a U-turn. The rooms were basic but clean. They had microwaves, tea and coffee making facilities and a nice bathroom. The fridge has no freezer though. We had a nice stay and despite being on the highway, we didnt even notice the highway noise at all. The beds and pillows were also comfortable. My standard hotel review point: I dislike white towels.
