Very underwhelmed by this hotel. Needs complete upgrade/renovation. Although clean the current decor or lack of it really takes away from the hard work the cleaning staff must have to do. Carpets and walls all terrible stained and marked. Limited wifi access annoying also.
The hotel vibe was flat, no toilets in the lobby. The staff where not always friendly. The pool was cold and dirty and not much room to sit around the pool. The rooms where not clean, we put the make up room sign outside the room on returning the the room three pm the room not made up. One day the room wasn’t made up at all. The dirty sheets not replaced the beds where only straightened for our 7 night stay. Their was mould in the shower and the water pressure in the shower was low. Don’t stay here.
The room wqas adequate for sleeping. The elevators were slow. The lobby desk was very basic. The cost was AUD290.00 a day There was no hotel restaurant. The breakfast included in the registration was next door at the Coffee Place. Very ordinary and mini9mal for breakfast
We arrived way too early, but they were able to hold our luggage while we explored some of the sites. The location is excellent for walking around and seeing some interesting parts of Sydney. We took the 2.5 hour walking tour (orange shirts), which was worth the time. Botanical gardens, Sydney Opera House, Sydney tower and other sites are within walking distance. Would stay again.
Arrived to check in - found the foyer had a step at entry and 2 steps going to the lifts - my mother who is very frail could not lift her bags up the steps - I helped her with them but really thought we would have had more help with the bags. Checkout is at 10am and anything after that is charged at $20 per hour - they offered to hold our bags until our pickup which was at 12pm but also charged us for this. The bathroom is extremely small but the room was average size. We couldn't get more than 3 channels on the TV but as we were only there for 1 night we didn't bother to complain.
We paid $495.00 for one night. what a rip off that was! The room was so small and the bathroom was so tiny. When you took a shower water went everywhere in the bathroom on the floor and we had to be careful to not slip and fall over. The lift was so noisy and woke us up during the night every time some-one used the lift. The reception girl told us we had a room with a good view. We were shocked to see the building site across the road as our view. We could hear jack hammers going even from our room. There was no mini-bar what a disappointment for a place that charges such heffty prices.....We walked to HILTON hotel for breakfast and that was lovely. Will stay there next time as their room price was cheaper when i enquired while I was there at breakfast.
A very small room, right next to the main 'noisey' elevator that never stops. Nice location near the Domain, but no view from the two little windows. $400 a night is just too much for too little. And not even allowed to any claim Freq. Program Points when booked online?
Friendly staff, great rooftop views and pool. Location is very central. I would recommend not using the 4th lift as it is only for residents and also not getting a room near the lifts. To noisy and you will be woken up every time it goes up or down.
I have been staying at this motel for many years and have found the experience to be very good each time. The building may be a bit old now but the rooms are clean and the staff are very good - eager to please and nothing is a problem for them. The motel is very conveniently located in the CBD which allows you to easily walk to trains, busses and taxis.
Very small rooms but clean . Bathroom extremely small and reception area is not a welcoming area at all . Very squishy and uncomfortable. Roof top pool is old and needs refurbishment but views are amazing. I think there are much better alternatives at a better price. Wouldn't stay again
