This property is advertised as a “Luxury Penthouse,” but the overall experience did not match that description.
Only one towel per person was initially provided, and additional towels were supplied only after we raised the issue. Basic amenities should be adequately prepared without needing to request them.
While the location itself is convenient, the apartment is extremely noisy due to the very old building and poor soundproofing. Noise enters from both the front and back windows, including early-morning bus traffic starting around 5:30 a.m., as well as wind and ocean sounds. This noise is related to the building condition rather than the area being busy.
There is only one portable air conditioner, which is very loud and vents through a window, further reducing sound insulation. As a result, external noise was constant throughout the day and night, making restful sleep difficult.
We contacted both the host and Expedia, but no resolution was offered other than providing extra towels.
Additionally, the Icebergs Pool shown in the photos is not part of this building.
Overall, the stay was not comfortable, and the “Luxury Penthouse” description is misleading.
