I was at check in that renovations was prior warning and TOLD stick 11am check out....The ottomon was dirty and had stains on it, the bed had make up on sheets, hairs in bed and around side table, and it was different colour hairs not from same person. The air vent was popped out of wall in the overhead door area, Son has asthma and vents not clean. Rang reception to ask for change of rooms and old they will have to see what they have, and then told that i will have to check out at i paid till 11am They found us another room and it was a lot cleaner but still not in line with the photos on website. Then 9am in morning came around being woken to large plastic wrapping/ take noise. I was not happy and felt we had to get out of there. I paid till 11am and i felt we were forced to leave earlier. I was also not told on website or by the check in person there was a $15 parking fee. In addition the foyer smells of wet moss smell and is not welcoming.

I booked a suite, was given 725. I was quite happy with the room, size, layout, bathroom etc. we were spending the day at the races so the location was perfect. The reception staff were very pleasant. when we returned we noticed our room was hot and couldn't adjust the air conditioning, we reported it to reception. We then had a drink in the bar which progressed to dinner in the restaurant. The food was great, delicious, cooked beautifully with a great menu selection. A good choice of wines too. When we returned to our room it was still hot, really hot! I called reception again, they said they couldn't get maintence at that hour but offered to change us to another room, we agreed. 30minutes later we had still heard nothing, when I called again I was told they hadn't had a chance to do anything! By this time it was 11:30, I wanted to get some sleep so told them not to bother. That was my mistake, it was so hot in that room I did not get a wink of sleep! Tossed and turned all night! Couldn't even open a window, the hallway was cooler!! So after a sleepless night I felt like hell! which was really dissapointing because the hotel did have everything else right, but the main reason you stay in a hotel room is to "sleep" overnight, this unfortunately was a big service failure in my eyes. I relayed my story to the reception staff when checking out and she did apologise by way of complimentary breakfast, which was appreciated, but I would have rather had a good nights was a shame because the staff, location and restaurant were all really good, I would have given a much higher rating overall if my original complaint had been addressed properly in the first place.

I stayed here whilst on a business trip. Let’s be realistic here, it’s an outer Sydney suburbs hotel that offers a reasonable hotel experience at a reasonable price. Staff are very helpful, probably the hotels greatest asset. Rooms are what you would expect for what it is. If you want a more premium experience, dip deeper into your pockets. Nice pool, big enough to swim laps or take a refreshing dip after work. Restaurant serves pretty good food, and Elise is a super star on service, she made me feel very welcome. The Woolworths across the road is a nice bonus if you want to pick up the odd thing or two.

I have stayed here many times when travelling to Sydney but I noticed on this trip that the foyer, lounge and rooms have begun to be refurbished. The new look is great and although this hotel has always been comfortable it was getting a little old. Congratulations to the management on what is being done and also a big thank you to all the staff I encountered during my stay. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I will be back

Stayed at Mecure Parramatta recently and although adequate would not go out of my way to stay again. The room was average in cleanliness. The bed was very comfortable along with the pillows but the room was looking its age. Car park and outside areas looked as though they needed a good clean with leaves and debris spoiling these areas. Hard to comment on the meals as the first nights dinner was very poor but the second nights was spectacularly good and breakfast on both mornings Id put at very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. The car parking fee is an annoying feature at this establishment like a lot of other places in this day and age but still an annoyance anyway. The area is a bit out of the way but there is a very handy supermarket across the road as well as fast food outlets.

Overall the hotel was poor. The parking at rear was dirty - dry leaves, rubbish and water on the floor. The breakfast was near warm to cold. The bathroom was was not cleaned and the shower was leaking.

I enjoy staying in this hotel as a a backstop if I can’t get home to Wollonong - Unfortinatley on this occasion the room I was given had not been cleaned - KFC boxes adorned the table and other debris - to their credit they were able to give me another’s room immediately, but it was late an kind of irritating. The Pullman (Hyde park) for such mistakes will wave the parking fee by way of an apology - That did not happen here though - perhaps they should consider it.

The service was excellent . Rooms were very comfortable and clean. A very pleasant ambience. I will not hesitate to stay at this hotel again. I enjoyed the restaurant....The staff was more than helpful.

grubby old hotel never to return . breakfast was disgusting ,hallways were overdue for carpet , pretty much worn out. only stayed for a conference in the hotel which was held in a motel room with the bed removed WTF?

We stayed at the Mercure as the conference we attended was held here. While it was disappointing to find that the training was held in a hotel room, the staff were excellent. The buffet breakfast was probably one of the worst I have seen in a hotel. Items were not being replenished and various machines were not operating. The options were not very appetising, certainly no gluten free items I could see. The poor staff were overrun, and I heard one young fellow ringing up asking for help. The room we had was sufficient, the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room service was quick and the food was fine. The outdoor area by the bar was very nice to sit for pre-dinner drinks. Not far to walk into Parramatta itself and across the road there is Woollies and different fast food restaurants. The bowling club is next door as well.
