Hotel was clean. If you have a high 4wd or car with trailer you have to park out the front entrance. Otherwise regular cars can be parked in the car park. For some reason the charges took 5 days to show up on my credit card on the 2 seperate visits i had there. Service was fine, room was fine. I think the whole area is costly. It was about $177 for the night even tho advertised at $160 but there must be added gst and credit card fee i guess. I'd stay there again.
We selected Mercure Parramatta becaus of it's location. Easy access from Airport and avoiding the congested roads in Parramatta centre. We were greeted by your friendly and helpfull frontdesk staff. The disabled toilettte is located conviniently just behind the front desk. Hotel foyer and bedroom are nicely setup. Unfortunately the bathroom tiles above the bathtub around the shower is mouldy. Expected clean tiles for this class of hotel room. Breakfast and evening bar are great and the wait staff are friendly.
stayed 2 days so that we could attend the caravan and camping show. Location was awesome but the room was a little tired. Reception were very helpful and friendly. the room we were allocated 725 backed onto the lifts that you could hear going up and down all night. We dined in the restaurant each night and both times the service and meals were amazing. We also had breakfast the first morning which was disappointing. All food bays were almost empty, spoons and tongs had a mixture of everything on them, there were no juice glasses or bread for toast.
Stayed here for a weekend with family visiting other family. Good price & good service. No complaints at all. Room was nice with everything we needed. Didn’t spend much time there as we were out everyday but the rooms were cleaned daily & the few staff we dealt with were lovely :) very happy & would definitely stay here again :)
I'm a frequent guest at this Accor Hotels property and always enjoy my stays there . I am always made to feel welcome and treated as a valued guest,by all the the staff ! It's my favorite hotel in Parramatta and a absolute credit to the accor brand ! The management's ethos is reflected in their staff and their staff are " first class " ! professional , empathetic, courteous , polite ,friendly , pro-active and all done with a smile !!! Special mention restaurant , breakfast managers and staff and dinner manager and his staff ! A very special mention and " big " thank you ! to to Sara - front office manager , Sushma - assistant manager and Tash - duty manager !!!
Hotel is pretty good with family. Has a pool for the kids and the breakfast Buffet is good. Wish there is more variety of food to choice. Fried rice aka Indian style fried rice it's alright if you like the curry taste. Overall ok.
I have been staying here for years as it is close to the reason I are in Parramatta. The only time I stay elsewhere is when there is an event on in the area and the prices are ridiculously high with regulars not taken into account with pricing. The property is always clean which is important to me and although I miss the old staff that knew me when I arrive the current ones seem very pleasant.
The water doesn't drain from the shower in the bathroom as fast as the tap runs, ultimately leading in the entire shower area to flood. The worst design for a shower I have ever seen. I had to pull out a chunk of hair out of the drain and the water still didn't go down! I made a complaint and the staff did respond quickly and move me to a "Privileged" room which was the exact same room with a coffee machine, a complimentary water bottle, and a slightly better view. The shower worked fine in this room, however, a view of the coffee packets for the coffee machine was already opened!
From Wollongong, we decided to make a weekend of it and stay at the Mercure after a full day at the Easter show. Check in was easy and we promptly parked our car and found our room on the 5th floor (although the lift didn’t recognise our card, there were two readers so we had to use the other one). We were disappointed to see the spa had been filled in, as photos of the motel still had the spa pictured. We are Accor members and usually get two free drinks at the bar, but not this stay which was also disappointing. The kids enjoyed the pool briefly, but it was a bit cold! We went back to our room for hot showers and a rest before dinner. Dinner at the restaurant was ok, the kids meals were reasonable with a drink and ice cream. Our meals were pub/bistro type food. I ordered a chicken breast with sauce and chips - nothing fancy and not that tasty! My husband ordered calamari which he said was ok, but bistro type quality. I’m glad we had the Accor card to receive 50% off! We had a good night sleep and breakfast the next morning was ok - make sure you get some eggs cooked the way you like them! All in all, the stay was ok, but not sure if we will be back.
Wonderful check in & check out service. Very easy & quick. Very pleasant staff. Rooms not luxurious but quiet & comfortable. Easy parking & a nice place to stay. Would recommend this for place to family & friends.
