The mecure at parramatta is one of the best hotels we have stayed at, the rooms were perfect, clean and beds comfortable. The staff very accommodating, service excellent and food was fantastic. This has become our favorite hotel!!
Just stayed 1 night here. The staff at checkin were great. They even organised a bus trip for us to go to State of Origin. Well done considering our bus man was pretty grumpy when we asked to pay half price for a person only going half of the way. The room was a little tired but clean and tidy. Bed was good.
Check-In and Check-out was good. Service was excellent, Room was ordinary, Parking was very poorly managed. Lounge was good but not up to the standards. Very close to Parramatta city, all offices and west field.
Lovely view from room. Rooms large and airy. Good aircon and facilities. Close to a variety of eating places and walking distance to Rosehill race course hooters across the road has cold ales quick food
We were in Sydney for a short break and decided to stay here for a change. What a great experience. When we went to check in our room wasn't ready so instead of having us wait we were upgraded immediately to another room. before arriving we had received a call from one of the team at the hotel welcoming us to the hotel because they saw we hadn't stayed there previously. Parking was easy and we actually left the car in the parking area for the whole time we were there as it was so easy to walk to the railway station in Parramatta (15 minutes) and then catch a train (30 minute ride) to Sydney. The room was fantastic - comfortable and clean. Just loved the whole vibe about this hotel - staff, accommodation, food and location. We will be back
The location of Hotel is OK. Check in and check out process was smooth. The parking space sucks. Very old building with poor maintenance. Rooms were old and average maintained. Breakfast was average. I may skip this hotel in all my next visit. Not impressive enough.
Sydney accommodation is pretty pricey so happy to have found this cheaper option. It is an older building and some of the room fittings were a bit scuffed and worn but was clean and pretty comfortable. Rooms also a good size. Glad to have a table and two chairs in the room - much more comfortable than eating on the bed. Staff were generally really lovely although the young lady on reception when we checked in was pretty short on details. Had to ask her a number of questions regarding where to park the car, where to eat etc - details that most reception staff would tell you anyway. We were visiting Olympic Park and the drive was pretty decent, although the ongoing freeway works were such a pain it was much easier to take the suburban streets. The underground carpark was a tight squeeze but not many cars when we stayed and although I was unaware when I booked that you had to pay for carparking, it was still a cheaper accommodation and it was a bit safer than other carparks. The food was pretty good and the outdoor terrace really lovely to relax on. The pool looked pretty good, if you stay when it is warm enough to use it.
Our room was booked by a friend as we had to attend a function, so I had not much say in where I would stay the night. We paid 179 dollars for one night in a twin room. The check in was fast, paid carpark -15 dollars a night - and found our way to the room fairly easy. The hall way looked a bit unclean, lots of stains on carpet and marks on the walls. Room was specious, carpet had a lot of stains, bathroom was clean with shower head over the bath. The bed was comfy and it was quiet. Our room looked out over the swimming pool and tennis court. It was very hot in the room. There was a aircon control which you can preset on the desired temp but it kept jumping back onto 25 degrees. I woke up at 4 am sweating from the heat in the room. This issue affected my sleeping comfort greatly, there was also no possibility to open a window either. I would go elsewhere.
Whilst we only booked for one night I needed to be at a Conference for all of the Saturday, so we would be checking in very early in the morning about 6.00, I phoned the hotel on the Friday and explained my predicament, and said that if necessary I would pay for the Friday night so we could get early access, the staff member I spoke with as they were not 100% full they should be able to accomadate an early check in, and they did and that explained the rest of the stay nothing was a problem, the room was excellent great bathroom with enough shelf space for all the nessicary things, the bar is a great outside/inside area, and Breakfast on the Sunday altho pretty full kept being restocked and was hot in all a very enjoyable stay
If you are away from home Jolene, Michael and Skye will make you feel at home. Wednesday night: Corporate night is a highlight. Meet some like minded colleagues, make friends, enjoy and share the hospitality. If I can't be at home, the next best thing is the Mercure Parramatta. Chef, Karl is a genius. If in Parra, I recommend you stay at the Mercure.
