We stayed at Hotel Urban in February and the staff were absolutely excellent. The rooms were clean and beds were very comfy, even the spare rollaway bed was excellent. It is very close to North Shore hospital and medical centres in the area, and it had excellent food spots close by. The staff were the stand out though! I accidentally left my white pillow that I brought from home in the room when I left - whoops! The staff searched and searched for days and found it! It was a very expensive pillow and they stored it in a safe spot until we could come back to Sydney and pick it up. They went above and beyond to make sure that I got it back and were so kind, despite us calling them so much! I've never had this level of customer service in any other hotel. Would definitely go back, and will be recommending the hotel to other people! Thank you very much Hotel Urban!
Very pleasant comfortable clean accommodation. Staff friendly efficient and helpful.Excellent value for money. Very convenient for needs. Very close to North Shore public and private hospital. Food at restaurant very good.
Checked in at 9 ish pm and got my room. The AC was extremely noisy, called and spoke to the manager on duty, seeking for his assistance and may be a room change as I am a light sleeper. Jason’s respond was the Hotel is expected to be full and nothing available to offer. I approached the desk shortly after and I requested for masking tape to tape the AC so that the noisy could reduce. He was happy to provide me with the tape and a pair of scissors to get the job done. I was left without much of choice and taped loose part of the AC and return the items to the desk. In my years of travel, i yet to come across hospitality offerings as such. Jason truly set a good example to the youngster to follow.
Urban hotel is located 850m from St. Leonard train station, but if you are too lazy to walk, you can take a bus from the bus located opposite the hotel and take a bus to St. Leonard train station, or take the bus the city or chatswood. The gym is small but comprehensive, you should be able to train most parts of your body. Toiletries provided are also of good quality, the chef can really cook very well too. Hope you find my review helpful.
I stayed here for 2 nights recently. It was super close to the hospital, which is what I needed. The staff were nice. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. I ordered food one night, and it was a little on the expensive side, but arrived very quickly and it was nice.
Hotel Urban was recommended to me as the perfect site for immediate recovery post-op from the North Shore Specialist Day Hospital, all of thirty metres away, and it came well-referred by my surgeon personally. And with the very affordable room rate per night, there was really no question. From the moment I arrived at the hotel on the morning of my surgery date, I was pleasantly surprised; I was greeted by a small but lively and cosmopolitan lobby, dominated by a pleasant, airy cafe which was busy with patrons. Check-in was simple, and my room clean, comfortable (soft beds are always a pleasant surprise, in hotels at any level) and unexpectedly roomy, with a spotless bathroom and a 24-hour if minimalist room service dining option. I stayed for two nights, with a friend to nurse me through the initial recovery, mostly just watching TV/movies in bed from the portable hard-drive we'd hooked into the TV's USB port (which, unlike some hotel room TVs, gave us no trouble in connecting our own device), venturing down to the cafe when it was time to eat (try the nicioise with seared tuna steak, it's stunning) or occasionally ordering up. The food was consistently of a high standard, and the room was made up lightning-quickly whenever we stepped out for however brief a moment. All in all, it was a very pleasant place to recuperate after a major procedure, and I have no complaints at all. I would definitely stay at Hotel Urban again, were business ever to take me back to the area.
Excellent service - I arrived really early off my flight and the check-in staff cleaned and accommodated me within 30 mins while I had great breakfast at their reception cafe. Rooms are quiet with crisp clean sheets and in a quiet area just off the Pacific Highway. Walls are thin, but I always travel with ear plugs! Very convenient for offices located in North Sydney.
This was a lovely little hotel. It is about a 10 minute walk from St.Leonards railway station - uphill. The bus stop is virtually outside though so if you can use the bus. The staff here are all very welcoming and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The room had a balcony which was great although it looks out over houses to the rear so not the best for views. Apart from that the room was very comfortable, clean and well finished. It has air conditioning which wasn't too loud. There is a small cafe in the lobby which does excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner but note it closes at 9pm. All in all an excellent find.
Newly redeveloped. But not the chic modern place portrayed on their site. Biggest issue is the location- it's basically a taxi trip to anywhere . It's clean and staff are nice. Food is excellent. Parking spaces were large and easy. Wifi was excellent all over hotel.
We had a great stay for our business conference. Warm and friendly staff were down to earth and made our time there enjoyable. This isn't a 5 star, white gloves type of place, more like spending a few days at a friends place. Rooms are fairly average for the overnight stay type, a bit small but comfortable. The bed was nice and the sheets were amazing. I don't know what type they were but I've never felt anything like them in a sheet. It doesn't have a bar but you can get a drink at the cafe; although that closed well before regular last drinks times at the pubs. Luckily there's one of those within walking distance. There's a putting green too, so bring your putter and get some practice in
