I have been staying at the Hotel Urban sporadically for the past 9 years and it is always consistent with excellent service, great food and a great atmosphere. It's my "go to" place whenever I'm in Sydney because I know exactly what I'm getting and they have never missed a beat. I receive great rates for being a repeat customer and the team at Urban always project a positive and vibrant experience with great customer service and support. I love my Snorer king bed and the rooms are always perfectly presented so full credit to the cleaning team. Cannot express enough the value in the currency of consistency. Awesome job Urban!
Good value suburban hotel that does all the basics well. Ideal for a short stay city-break or business trip being close to North Sydney and with easy transport access into the City. On-site parking is a bonus as surrounding residential area has very limited parking availability. Despite having a room facing the Pacific Highway, our room was quiet. Had a good breakfast in the ground floor dining area, though oddly (and annoyingly) the buffet did not include hot beverages, ie. tea, which has to be purchased separately from the adjoining cafe >:
Booked and paid for online. Super quick check-in. Friendly staff on arrival and checkout. Clean room with good amenities. Excellent size bath towels. Doubled glazed windows means it was relatively quiet. Convenient to good cafes.
A three-night stay confirmed previous positive reviews about this place. Bathroom is a bit small but other facilities were good. Had room on Pacific Highway side but noise was not a problem. Happy hour from 4-6pm is welcome.
Had an amazing stay at Meriton for two weeks. The room is kept neat and clean. They also make sure that the supplies are replenish everyday. The staff are friendly and are always there to help you out. Special shoutout to Bobo in the reception who always has a smile to brighten your day.
The Nth Shore is always a nice place to stay with easy access to the city either via train bus or boat. The Urban in St Leonards is a short walk from St Leonards Station. Handy to local hotels and eateries. Its an older style hotel modernised to a chic feel. For those on a budget it provides all the amenities of at least a 3.5 star hotel. Place was clean and tidy. Amenities were good and the attached cafe/ restaurant breakfast area is a popular with locals as well as guests.
The hotel was clean and snazzy looking (awesome dining area!). About a 15 minute walk to the train station which wasn't too bad. I had a room facing the street so there was noise from the cars however surprisingly everyone still slept soundly. My only real negative is that it's not super-friendly for those with young kids (walking + stage). I mean the staff were friendly 😘however the lack of a young kids tv channel, no ability to order movies, no 'open spaces' and semi-expensive menu meant it was quite difficult to keep the kids entertained while at the motel.
I stayed at Urban for 1 night. The room was very clean and comfortable. I was very lucky and got a very quiet one, so I had a great night's sleep. The breakfast was ok. The location was very handy for my needs, so overall, a great value for money. Will stay there again.
When I checked into my standard room, within 30 seconds I was calling the front desk to change rooms. The rooms facing the Pacific Highway are exeedingly noisy from the road and I knew I would not get any sleep. The staff were good and upgraded me to a back room for an extra $30. I couldn't find the tea and coffee making facilities as they were not stored in an obvious position so I didn't end up finding them until I dropped something on the floor and saw the note in a bottom drawer as I was checking out. I paid for a continental breakfast but it didn't include tea or basic coffee and that was an extra charge. I have never had a continental breakfast without these being provided so was disappointed with that. As it was only 6Deg overnight, I tried to turn on the A/C to warm up the room as it was very cold, however the A/C didn’t warm and only put out more cold air. Lucky there was another blanket in the cupboard to try and keep warm. Spoke to another guest who said she didn't get any sleep due to the noise as she was on road side. At least at the back I got quiet, shame the room was so cold. Staff were helpful.
Was here for a whole week for a training conference and although I didn't stay at the hotel the food for the conference was made to vegan dietary requirements. It was very tasty and each day the chef made me something different for lunch. And trust me I have had some shockers at training days but Hotel Urban did not disappoint. To be honest I think the chef looked forward to making it as he started to greet me each morning to let me know what he had on the menu for me that day and made the extra effort at lunch to ensure I had it. It was definitely going that extra mile with a smile. The food was very tasty, staff friendly, and coffee was one of the best I've had. Would definitely go back if in the area
