We had one night booked there before our travel home, and since they were doing construction in one end we got upgraded to a suite overlooking the harbor. Amazing room, one of the best ones I've ever stayed in!

This hotel was chosen for us, as we were part of an organised group, And we certainly weren't disappointed. Reception staff were friendly and polite, as were the lobby cafe staff. Our room was a level of luxury I hadn't experienced before. Spacious, modern, power operated blinds etc. Just stunning. And the opulence continued into the bathroom. Being located within the Star City Casino precinct, restaurants and food outlets abound. Bars and entertainment venues etc. It would be a perfect evening to stay here, see whatever production is currently on and not have to worry about getting home at midnight.

Stayed three nights in Room 1016. What a great experience, from being able to check in early (a huge thank you from us both) after explaining we’d been up since 2.00am Australian time, to an amazing room, view and facilities. Every staff member we met from check in, housekeeping, concierge, gym were so friendly and focussed on their guests. And best of all a no fuss, no cost, stress free late check out was unhesitatingly given. If there’s a place to stay in Sydney, this is it - simply faultless.

We stayed for one night June 4 and had our room upgraded to a two-bedroom Astral residences was absolutely fantastic....beautiful bathrooms, luxurious beds, wonderful view.....although we had been alerted to the possibility, we had no noise disturbance.....the buffet breakfast was the best I have had in many countries... will return and can certainly recommend to others. Would be a superb apartment for two couples who want to have everything on their doorstep when in Sydney ( ferries, Darling Harbour and quick walk to the shopping in the middle of town). The staff we encountered were very helpful too! Many thanks!!

We have stayed at this hotel many many times. We love the location and now the rooms have been refurbished the amenities are far better giving you more value for money. There are plenty of bars and restaurants and things to do and easy to get to circular quay either by foot or ferry. The walk is lovely. We stay here every time we are in Sydney.

We had three nights in Sydney for my birthday - we used the excellent airport bus transfer service which we booked at airport for return service. Room was ready for us despite earlier arrival and we were delighted with view of Harbour Bridge and across the city (lovely in the day, stunning at night.) Very comfy room, loved the electric blinds and sensor light for night bathroom visits! Good toiletries, huge bed and location is pretty central - we used ferry to and from Pyrmont. Ideal for Lyric Theatre. Great food court - including Adriano Zumbo who we visited a couple of times! Staff were all wonderful. Thank You Star - we want to return!

You would expect style and class in a place like this. But we had 3 horrible nights at this hotel as they start renovation as early as 8 am with drilling and noises which prevent you from sleeping. How can management allow this work commencing so early in the morning?? We work hard and are on a holiday and we cannot sleep in??

I'm from Sydney but I always stay here on special nights or weekends out in the city. Great for couples and/or friends. For a family with kids, I would probably recommend to look elsewhere. The casino is literally just at your fingertips, 24/7. There's a taxi rank at every entrance/exit, makes it easy to grab a taxi or uber to take you somewhere. The location is very close to the clubs, restaurants and bars. If you prefer to not leave the building at all, there's also Marquee, Rock Lily, and Cherry Bar which is part of The Star. Convenient! A stay here makes you feel a billion bucks. The pool is also amazing!

Beautiful apartments. Even the one bedroom residences are huge! Sparkling clean and great service. It was easy to get settled in straight away and feel at home quickly. There is a lot to do at The Star itself, and the hotel is in a good location. It's quite easy to taxi or even walk/train to any of the central attractions in Sydney.

I was treated to a night at this supposed five star ⭐️ hotel. Was upgraded to a deluxe suit OOOOOLALA. It was beautiful! A bit of luxury after a busy weekend. The service from all the staff from start to finish was tremendous. The luxurious suite had everything you would need and more. From your personal greeting on your giant TV, to the fabulous toiletries. When you get up in the night the floor lights are activated to light your way from your comfortable king size bed. The piezoresistance was the automatic toilet 🚽 that instantly opened the lid as you entered the cubicle, lights and all. Warm seat with a panel of various options of ablutions, including drying option! Made me laugh 😂 It is one of those experiences, you wish you could afford to stay for a week of luxury. The biggest let down was the in house dinning experience. I ordered Pizza 🍕 with rocket salad 🥗 and mineral water. The pizza was so doughy, undercooked, (it was like a frozen supermarket version of a pizza) it tasted cheap and nasty. The so called rocket salad was a handful of wilted rocket with some pine nuts swimming in balsamic at the bottom of a small baby size PLASTIC bowl. For $45 dollars you should experience a delicious homemade Italian pizza and the salad needs to be fresh, crunchy and presented to justify the $9 price tag. You can get better prepackaged salads at supermarkets. The so called inhouse dinning does not reflect the luxury style accommodation, hence why I have reflected it in my four star review. I am astonished that management hasn't lifted their game to fix this problem.
