Swansea is ideally situated to become your base for exploring the Tasmanian East Coast. It is less than 2 hours to both Launceston and Hobart. It is 45 minutes drive to Freycinet National Park or to the ferry to Maria Island National Park. Swansea is well known for boating, kayaking and fishing. Nearby there are opportunities for bushwalking, mountain biking, surfing and scuba diving.
Spectacular Food and Wine
Swansea has an impressive array of cafes and restaurants. Within easy walking distance (via the beach) are Artifact Gallery & Café, Saltshaker Restaurant & Café and Oyster Bay Seafoods.
