We stayed here in Mid November. We stayed in the fabulous Princess Alice sweet. The room was fabulous and spotlessly clean. A credit to the house keeping team. The bed was lovely and comfy and the sofa was really nice. The reception staff were really helpful on all occasions no matter how trivial. We would definitely use again in the future Well done the Frimley Hall!
My wife and i stayed one night on the 24 November for a company Christmas party nice hotel party was good but the room was clean but the was a smell of sewerage we spoke to the reception and the manager said they would sort it but didnt promised to call me and i am still waiting after ringing 3 Times which is a shame as i would have liked to stayed again but the customer service has put us off as it seems they are not bothered
Only booked for one night. Arrived not able to park. Checked in with pleasant chap on reception. Room was ok very small and a bit dated. Went for afternoon tea.. was told we might not be able to have it as it was busy but the told 45 minutes. We raised a concern and an obnoxious supervisor came over and was rude and totally unapologetic . She told us we should have booked . Unfortunately at no time were we told this. We explained we were residents but she said well we have a large lunch party so the chefs busy. I did point out that the word “Hotel and hospitality “ were a clue to an expectation of getting a cup of tea. No hot water in morning and then just dangled the key at a man in reception and left. Not even a hope you had a nice stay !! Would rather stay in a premier inn any day.
Driving up to the hotel it comes across elegant, beautiful grounds and romantic. Food was good but very small portions. No enough for the amount of people for dinner. However it’s not cheap at the bar so don’t expect much change out of £20 for two drinks. Overall not too bad just a shame the wine on the table went to waste as the rose would have been a better choice!
I’ve never given a bad review before but I stayed in this hotel last night and it was so shockingly BAD I have to tell you. Don’t waste your money or your companies money. I passed a Travelodge on the way and wished I’d pulled in! Decor from the 70s / bathroom disgraceful / cleanliness atrocious / air conditioning not working! All for £160 a night. Felt like I had been put up in a really cheap nursing home. Honestly! Worst place I have ever stayed! Never again, I’d rather drive 3 hours home.
I attended a friend's 50th Birthday celebration at this lovely location. I was greeted with a cheerful smile and given details of the arrangements for the party. My room was on the 2nd floor, and I was offered assistance with my luggage as there is no lift - I was happy to manage my small overnight bag myself, but appreciated the offer. I seem to always be allocated a room that's as far from everything as possible, no matter where I stay, and this time was no exception. However, the advantage of being at the end of a corridor is I don't get disturbed by other guests going past at all hours. The room was a reasonable size and well furnished. There was a decent size en suite shower room with the usual complimentary items, nice soft towels and face cloths. I had some difficulty getting the water temperature right in the shower, but at least it wasn't cold. The biggest problem with the room was the heat! It was like a blast furnace. The air conditioning had broken down - according to the nice little notice left on the desk, the maintenance people were aware and doing their best to sort it. The radiator was on full! I like the heat, but not in a confined space. The room was still rather warm several hours later even with the radiator switched off. Breakfast is what I look forward to the most when away from home, but was sadly under impressed with what was on offer. I personally don't like a buffet style cooked breakfast, I prefer to be served - all part of the experience as far as I'm concerned. I was shown to a table, asked if I wanted any tea or coffee and toast, then informed that the continental breakfast was on the bar behind where I was sitting and the hot buffet was in the room across the corridor. The selection on offer was scrambled eggs (fried or poached eggs were cooked to order), bacon, sausage, mushrooms, grilled tomato, baked beans and hash browns. The plates were in a warmer, but were nearly cold, this meant by the time I had made my choices, the food wasn't very hot. There were other choices available on the menu, but these were not made known to me, nor was there a menu on my table. As I had to leave early to keep an appointment, I didn't have time to speak to anyone about what I considered inadequate service at breakfast. A lovely venue, with friendly, courteous, professional staff, but with some practical issues that almost spoiled my stay. The Birthday party was awesome!!
We stayed here for the night as we had a dinner to attend in the locality. Thankfully this meant we spent very little time there as there was a terrible smell in the room. I am not sure what it was - I thought it was a fishy smell but my husband thought it might have been something even worse. I am posting this on tripadvisor as no-one at the hotel has seen fit to contact me about this. I informed the front desk as we left for dinner, again as we left early the next morning and I then emailed. I do not expect this for £119 a night.
Myself and my 3 girlfriends had a lovely spa day here. Cracking value, £49.50 for an hour long massage, spa facilities and a great 3 course lunch. My friend had a manicure. Easy to book, very friendly staff, and not too crowded, so we had room to sit and have a proper catch up. Would happily come here again.
The location is at the end of a residential road, not too far from Camberley town centre. The hotel looks like a nice grand old building and has the spa, gym etc in its car park. The gym and pool are free for all residents of the hotel. The rooms are a decent size, comfortable beds and all the expected facilities in the rooms. The rooms are a bit tired around the edges. The bar area was a bit small downstairs in the hotel with only enough seating for 10 or so guests but there are other rooms you can sit in and take drinks into. The restaurant is ok and the quality of the food is as expected and the level of service is good as all the staff are friendly and attentive. If I’d paid the amount out of my own pocket I’d possibly if expected more but if I was to stay again on business and work we’re picking up the tab I’d be more than happy.
Lovely venue lovely staff and lovely food!! Gorgeous spa and my nails look great thank you. My friend had a massage and loved it. Really easy to book and park. Will come again but stay longer as action packed day!
