Property is amazing and we hiked up the mountain side directly into the Lolo National Forest.
A couple of things to note:
1. The driveway is steep, like really really steep and our rented SUV almost went back down the driveway until I found the 4 wheel drive button. There are also some decent size rocks that might tear up the bottom of a standard passenger car, so I recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle with decent clearance.
2. There was no booklet containing all the info on the cabin, just an online portal, which I didn't like. Every VRBO I've stayed at has had a booklet with all essential info and that's preferable to having to get online to look at the portal every time or download it to my phone.
3. I didn't realize when I rented it (my fault) that it only has one shower. We had 8 people there and for some reason I just assumed it had another shower and didn't read the listing close enough. There's room in the washer and dryer area to add a stand-up shower and that would be great because that's where most of the guests sleep.
Still a great place to stay and Durango's restaurant in nearby Superior is excellent. River's Edge restaurant in Alberton was not great though and pricier than Durango's. Superior is a cool little town and the hike in the mountain behind it is very cool.
