Nomads Noosa Backpackers Hostel2.0 out of 5.0

Had all that you needed including a cranking bar! Was only a short walk to the beach and other local attractions. Had plenty of space and a very decent sized pool to jump into and unwind after a days' walking.
Nice staff, cheap as chips, but not enough staff, too much security booking protocol other hostels manage without tea towels are supposedly changed twice daily, but hard to believe by how wet they looked even first thing in the morning. Stove knobs mainly loose and falling off. big cracks on pavers and mould patches in pool. work and repairs needed.
Nomads is more often than not a great experience. Nomads Noosa in particular is wonderful, it has everything you need tucked into a fun location 2 minutes from the shops and 10 minute walk to the beach. The staff is friendly and helpful, the bar is a lot of fun and the staff make an effort to help you make friends with events and meet-n-greets. The rooms are fine, although I am not that picky but overall they are pretty much what you pay for. The bar does bump music till about midnight or a bit later which can be heard faintly in the rooms but after spending a day on the beach in the sun having so much fun you will be able to fall asleep through anything!
This hostel is in a good position just back from main beach. Easy to get to beach, bus (for greyhound etc) and also Laguna lookout. Staff very friendly and the pool, bar etc. were great. Good hostel for meeting people with welcome cocktail and lively bar which locals also frequent. Pillows were the best I've come across in a hostel - memory foam folks!! BUT there were no lockers at all??? Baffling. I've never come across a hostel with no lockers anywhere.
I came on Saturday and the night was well organised with cheap drink deals and a good atmosphere - the place turns into a nightclub at night. The facilities were basic but kept clean. I loved the layout of the hostel the most - very inclusive.
Great location, great bar, and nice staff! But the rooms aren't great, the beds are very squeaky. The kitchen is alright but not very clean. Overall would definitely recommend but don't expect something very special!
The Hostel is okay, not the type of place I would describe as special but it's not awful either saying that. When we arrived we were prompted to check in to the hostel by using a computer / ipad behind us which asked us to scan our passport & take a photo of ourselves for the use of the tipi app they heavily promoted to meet fellow travellers and hostel users which I wasn't all that keen on especially as we then had to go and check in again with the actual receptionist after this so it just seemed very pointless and a drawn out process to simply check in. We were given room 1 and the room itself was lain out well with regards to the beds, my main fault with the room had nothing to do with the hostel itself as I doubt the building was built by them but the toilet and shower should have been replaced in location to make more sense and improve the flow of the room (if that makes sense). Bed's were standard single size bunks and comfy with nice clean sheets so no fault there. Room 1 was at the front of the hostel next to the patio area so if people were or the front until late it could be quite loud and then the bins or something load again were dragged down the path next to this room early each day which woke me up each time. Kitchen is a great size and has plenty of equipment to use and plenty of fridge space too. Due to the hostel users having to clean their own stuff some of it wasn't the cleanest but again, not the hostel's fault and is a problem universally! There is a pool there (never saw anyone in it) but that's a cool unexpected bonus if you didn't know it was there. There is also a small little Booth which offers tourist information and helps to book tours if there is anything that you may be interested in. They have a bar there too which runs different events each night (I think) not really sure as I didn't go but it always seemed busy so may be worth checking out if you stay here. So in general, this is a hostel with a wide selection of optional things to do and partake in if you want but the layout is odd and it can be very loud / busy at times. Would stay here again though.
it was bad, because... ... the rooms were dirty ... the rooms are close to the disco/bar and you can´t sleep because of the music. ... the rooms are too big: 10 people (never ever) ... the kitchen was very dirty ... i don´t need wifi at all. if you need it: it does´t work. ... the personal members were not friendly. I will never book one more night to nomads.
We have previously been satisfied with our stay at Nomads however we would not advise anyone to stay at Nomads in Noosa. We were disgusted to find our bedding had been slept in by previous guests and whilst making our breakfast in the kitchen we were horrified to discover a cockroach crawling up the table leg. It is also advertised that there is free wifi, this only works in the common area. The pool was full of dirt and leaves not like the pictures advertised. We had no choice but to move to a different hostel.
Brilliant! What a great hostel! I had an amazing time ! Really clean, people were super friendly! Every single night has something different, love the glitter night! Paint all over my face 😂! Highly recommend for someone wants to have fun and meet people! Cristina
