The small studio room was fine, but it was extremely difficult to get to. We had very poor directions on how to access the building and we were fortunate to ask a passerby how to get into building #1. We had to take the elevator in building #2 the 3rd floor to go over a walkway to building #1, then go down and up 3 different flights of stairs to get to our room. We are in our upper 60's and in pretty good shape but it was still difficult with suitcases, coolers, groceries, etc. Also, directions to pick up the keys in Ketchum were also poor. When I turned in the keys I did mention our difficulties with poor directions. It would definitely not be a favorable place for anyone with disabilities.
This is essentially a Condo rental. Good for a slim budget in Sun Valley. Don't expect a lot.
Nice stay but a bit expensive. The room with a fireplace was nice and welcoming on a cold day.
Even with written directions, our room was hard to find and the designated parking was impossible. We wound up parking in the underground parking near our room after driving around in circles several times and not finding anyplace that had 100 Elkhorn Road written on it. I have a bad knee plus a handicap permit and parked in a handicapped spot that had guest painted on the post. ADA access to the room was unavailable. Fortunately we only spent one night there because we found a warning ticket on our vehicle saying that our vehicles would soon be towed because we were parked in the wrong garage. Somehow strangers are supposed to know that there is a difference between Elkhorn Village and Elkhorn Springs! We weren't informed that the store and restaurant we're vacant and there was no place nearby to dine; luckily we had brought food with us.
I had to drive around Elkhorn Village for over an hour asking directions to the rental office to get checked in and get keys. After several inquiries we finally deterrmined that the Tamarack Lodge in Ketchum was the rental agent so we headed back into town to check in. Mind you this was after running the Sawtooth Relay all night and not having slept for over 36 hours. When we got to the condo/village we noticed that all amenities were shut down. The pool was closed for repair , the restaurant was closed so we had to head back to town to find dinner. Very poor service on your part!
