Steven and John's house had everything that was promised. The welcoming atmosphere with personalized notes to the family and our four-legged companion were nice touches to start our stay. They also provided a nice array of snacks on the kitchen island for arrival and whenever the urge to grab a snack occurred. While we didn't utilize the well stocked "honor bar", but it was a nice option to have should we have been interested in making a cocktail.
We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and appreciated the provided towels and flip-flops (although we decided to bring our own) for our evening relaxation. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't as cooperative, with wind, rain and snow, so we had some of our planned hot tub relaxation time cut short. Instead, we picked up some additional firewood and enjoyed some cozy evening fires.
The attention to detail for a pleasant stay was evident in the introduction letter, and the special touches for adults, pets, and kids throughout the house. There were plenty of dishes, glasses, and kitchen items to make it easy to cook and serve meals, as well as miscellaneous items throughout the house (such as scissors, pens, notepads and a stapler) to meet the needs of travelers spending time with their families.
Lastly, the tower brings out the child in everyone, as it doubles as a cozy place to watch the sun set and feel like a kid as you climb the spiral staircase to the upper level.
