Lovely staff

Check in staff were lovely. Upgraded our room when they found out it was anniversary and gave us lots of useful local info. Great location for walks into town and along the river.

Traditional, family hotel. Friendly welcome & helpful staff. Convenient for walking into the town & theatre. Excellent hot & cold breakfasts. Parking available at the hotel ~ £10 for 24 hrs. We stay here every year on our annual trip to Stratford. Good restaurants & cafes close by.

Comfy, but tired looking, early close bar.

Decoration is tired looking, especially the Bear bar. Speaking of which, hotel guests can only purchase drinks until 10.10pm? That was surprising! Bed was comfy, bathroom clean, room tired looking though. As your bar is closed completely by 11pm, why is it acceptable for people to sit outside, at your tables, to laugh and talk loudly well into the night. I had to contact reception at 2am to tell people to go home!!

Perfect theatre stay

Two night stay to attend the RSC Theatre, which is less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Excellent location to visit the town centre and to enjoy the river. Very helpful, friendly and attentive staff who work long hours. The pub is a little shabby in places, but overall very good. We will be returning (when I’ve saved enough Tesco points!)

Convenient for visiting Stratford at a good price

It’s a good basic hotel in a great location. I had asked for a quiet room but was on the main drag from reception to car park. Room is OK but you have to put the kettle on the floor - no area to make tea. Other than that, staff were very helpful and room was clean.

Perfect for comfortable stay close to town

Decent hotel with everyrging you need for a comfortable one night stay near the town centre. Although very close to town, it was very quiet and I slept well. Big room and spacious shower.

Really well located for the RSC theatres and Stratford centre. However, a little quieter as the hotel is located on the other side of the Avon. We like the bistro and pub/bar attached to the hotel. Staff are all very helpful and friendly. It is our preferred hotel in Stratford on Avon.

An excellent team of staff. Nothing too much trouble and they all seemed to be happy in their work. It really does make a difference. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The hotel could do with a lift but because it is a listed building that’s not possible. Would recommend the hotel and we will visit again.

Swans Nest Hotel

The Swan’s Nest is our preferred choice hotel in Stratford on Avon. We visit for the theatre 8-10 times per year so we have a broad, year-round experience of this hotel. Great facilities with the Bear Pub and Bistro Pierre. Parking is easy and one of the cheapest in town.
