Ibis nicely located, with direct access by car (though signs are a bit tricky to see at first arrival). Rooms are well furnished and super sound insulated, especially when giving onto the main building. Good breakfast and very helpful lobby personnel.
Well located and walking distance to popular places of the city. There are nice restaurants/bars around the hotel. Very friendly staff. For the first breakfast we had to wait about 15' to be seated, but OK.
I had a very nice and pleasant stay at Novotel during my business trip. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The bed was very confortable and the sofa provided some extra relax space. The bathroom was clean and shower big, which is not always a standard for Strasbourg hotels in the centre. What made my stay even nice was a bluetooth speaker to play my music :) Details are indeed what makes a place different. Breakfast provided good variety of choice, I would only appreciate if there were more juice options. In general, I would only recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Strasbourg for a business trip.
Good position close to city centre. Parking available in underground park (not hotels) but be wary if you have a lot of luggage as big heavy fire doors and lack of lift access to all levels mean you need to be fit. Rooms are good, staff are good and hotel is clean and modern. Breakfast is not really up to the price charged. Not sure if it was the date but I found cost for one night and two breakfasts to be very expensive - must be getting their own back for Brexit. OK but watch the pricing.
Friendly staff and service! Always greeted with a smile and warm greeting. Hotel and room were very clean and modern. Hotel was modern and up to date. Hotel was conveniently located to attractions and shopping area
Noise from nightclub on to 4 a.m. - many similar reviews on trip advisor which management well aware of and has totally ignored. They are clearly well aware of this serious issue, yet no warning is given to guests. Clearly their statement about taking reviews seriously is untrue. Also as stated by others - peculiar unpleasant smell in the room.
We stayed here on Saturday 18 March with a group en route to Switzerland. Good location. Reasonable food. Nice room with tea/coffee, but there was a ghastly 'drain' smell in the shower room (not toilet that was separate) which strangely disappeared after we used the shower. I did report this to reception. However the worse thing was the beat of the bass drum from an adjoining nightclub or maybe in basement of hotel, which continued all night til 6am. Truly awful and we could not sleep. I reported this also and of course the staff are aware of this but can do nothing about it as not owned by hotel. Well, put people in a higher level room on a Saturday! We were on 2nd floor. There do not seem to be rooms on 1st floor. For this reason I have given 2 stars only.
My experience at Novotel has always been pleasant. A bonus is their service for families and a child-friendly atmosphere. This particular hotel is currently undergoing some updates, and my family and I were fortunate enough to be booked (last minute) in a remodeled room. This said, the building is aging and not in a classic/historic way. Nonetheless, the room was furnished with a new and comfortable bed with a nice sofa/trundle bed. The bathroom was standard but updated with modern furnishings. Within a five-minute walk or less, you are in the middle of the historic city center. The views of the river and city from the rooms were nice. The parking garage under the hotel was easy to find and convenient.
We stayed at this hotel for one night whilst on a rail holiday to Switzerland. Very convenient for the Gard Strasbourg and well located for the city centre and for a stroll into the old town. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were ok if not special but the location next to a mall was good. The room was large enough , clean and fresh. A good stay.
