Hôtel Kyriad Strasbourg3.0 out of 5.0

The hotel is in a good location, if you are by car and do not mind being outside the city. The staff was very kind and helpful at the reception, but the house keeping staff, too (on request I was immediately given a new set of towels. The receptionists could speak English, as well. The room was amazingly big with toilet and bathroom being separate from each other. The room was clean and well-equipped. Everything functioned (TV, Airconditioning, etc.) For a 3 star hotel, this one is BRILLIANT! We had no breakfast, so I cannot give any opinion on it. Parking was free and available, as well as WIFI. I will certainly stay here again. One thing I do really hate about Kyriad hotels is the deposit they always block on my account for 2 weeks. I have been for quite some time their regular guest, and still about 150 euros are blocked as deposit each time I stay in a Kyriad hotel. HAVE NEVER EVER DAMAGED ANYTHING.
By the end of our trip, our luxurious visits to wineries and restaurants meant we had to pick a budget hotel for a few nights. After staying in boutique hotels throughout Germany, we were hesitant to even pick a place that cost so little, but this Kyriad was great! It's a long walk to downtown, but we like that sort of thing, and above all we appreciate a quiet and clean room. My only complaint is about the wifi. It's 2017, you'd think it would be reasonable to expect decent internet at a hotel, but this Kyriad misses the mark. Most of the other places we stayed, even ones that were over 100 years old, had great internet, but the WiFi here was so slow and spotty as to be entirely useless. We checked with the front desk, but got the "it works on my phone" treatment. In any case, it was way better than it ought to be considering the price, and we'd be happy to stay there again, even if we weren't economizing.
Nice rooms, very good pricing. All rooms have airconditioning with no noice. The hotel has no restaurant but there are a lot nice ones close by. Free parking and very good WiFi, also for free. Only 7 km from Strasburg airport.
When I booked the room, I must admite I thought something was wrong, was so cheap comparing others with the same specifications, like locations and facilities. When We arrived, the receptionist was very polite, the hotel looked very clean, organized, the size of the room was perfect for a couple with 2 toddlers. One double bed and a double sofa bed. In the room you will find a kettle, minifridge,tv, air conditioning all new. The bathroom top mark, clean, spacious. Overhall very good hotel, for us the hotel shoud be mark as 4 start instead of 3. Wifi is free and works well. Carpark is limited.
The Hotel is nicely located not far from Strasbourg (ca. 15 min by car or 30 by tram) in a tiny village called Lingolsheim. The room was a bit small, but convenient and also very clean. There is a parking just in front of the hotel, but it's sometimes difficult to find a free spot. The lady at the reception was very kind and provided us plenty of information. Unfortunately she forgot to mention that the reception was closed after 23.00 o' clock and there was a code you need to unlock the door. Consequence: we were stuck outside the hotel in the middle of the night. Hopefully there's a number you can call and they provided us with the code. At least, we received apologies from the reception for such a problem, so I don't feel like writing a bad review. Apart from that, everything went smooth and the place is also convenient if you want to visit Alsace small villages or wineries.
There is a lot of parking space in front and behind the hotel. Overall friendliness is tip-top.The bed is of excellent quality and the room is well cleaned. Breakfast is traditional European and once again okay. In fact, it is hard to find something negative to say about this hotel. Tip: take a taxi to the center of Strasbourg. It will cost you in between 15 and 20€ but it will save you a lot of frustration finding a parking spot in the city center.
Overall, the hotel was decent, kind of dated looking when you first walk into the lobby and bar area. The hotel is kind of oddly laid out. I had room 210 so I had to take elevator up to second floor, go through a door that takes you into a spiral stairwell, then walk through another door that had 3 other rooms in the narrow hallway. Very odd. It seems like it's a mix of hotel rooms and apartments. The room itself wasn't bad. It felt like they tried to do some updates, but didn't quite get it. Still it was clean and generally comfortable. Location is not ideal from Strasbourg city center. It's about 25 minute drive to the old town. The surrounding neighborhood felt a little sketchy, like I probably wouldn't walk around at night alone. The hotel receptionist was friendly, but didn't speak English as well so communicating was slightly difficult. The pricing and value wasn't bad. If you're looking for a decent, clean place to stay I would maybe consider it. If you can swing several more dollars, I would highly look into other options that would be closer to town.
Well priced not too expensive. Restaurants and small stores surround the property. Wifi and parking is free. Breakfast about ten euro a person additional. Better to move on eat elsewhere. Plenty of room. Comfortable beds and airconditioned.
Room clean and tidy. Travelled with a friend to see Strasbourg. It was ideal for a short stay. Not in the centre as such it is on q tramline which stops outside the hotel. Trams are the best way to see the city. Great break
Location was good, close to the highway (ideal for an en-route stopover around Strasbourg). Rooms are spacious, Parking is available and free of charge. Breakfast was OK but not exceptional. Wi-fi lacks bandwidth. Overall, you get what you pay for
