This was a clean, friendly hotel in a very good location.

right in downtown stockkholm, walking distance to central train station

The rooms in the hotel are a bit small, but cozy, the beds are really comfortable. Their breakfast is amazing. Didn't really have anything to complain about until we got back to our room after spending a day wondering around the city and the door wasn't closed. Nothing was stolen, accidents do happen, but we weren't too happy about that. Other than that loved the hotel and if anything would definitely stay there again.

Ordered a apartment, but the GPS leads us to the hotel, and with the advice of reception, we took the queen room instead. Smallest four star room and bed throughout Europe. Location is great! easy to get to the city center and everywhere. 10 Krone a night's Parking is one block away! if you drive don't miss that!

At $100 per night (an August), it was totally worth it! My room was clean and comfortable. The furniture was in good condition. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was just ok, standard budget hotel fare. At $200-$300 per night (the cost of an extra night, if I had stayed, I would say it's not worth it - it's too basic for that price). The hotel is a tad further from the Central Train station than some of the other more expensive hotels, but I was fine with it. There were plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The location in the heart of the tourist district wasn't too attractive, but that's the price of being in the tourist district of this otherwise very beautiful city. There was no gym, although I heard from another guest that, during the day, you can get a voucher to go to gym a block away. There was one public internet terminal in the lobby, and the internet speed was very fast. Overall, at $100-$150 night, I would choose it again, if I ever choose to go to Stockholm again.

Modest hotel, perfect for us spending the night in town before going to the airport. A bit of a walk from the central bus station, but we managed fine with our rolling suitcases. Lots of good restaurants nearby. The staff was friendly, breakfast sumptuous, room was compact. Free wi-fi is a welcome benefit.

The hotel is close to everything. The room that we get is hard to get to as we had to use 2 elevators and walked around a bit. I think this hotel is used to be a hospital. Breakfast is decent.

Breakfast was excellent. Room was a little better than adequate. It was quiet and clean. Some rooms are close to 3rd floor smoking deck and occupants do have cigarette smoke drifting into their rooms. Most negative was distance from Central Station.

good location, very friendly staff, nice rooms ...

Excellent location near Stockholm city center. Fantastic buffet breakfast included. Hotel is very clean, front desk staff very friendly, helpful. All speak English.

Every thins is crowded! The room was very small and inadequate for luggage storage. The breakfast set up was ok.

I had a completely satisfactory time. The breakfasts were the best! Plentiful and healthful food-- and the International Herald Tribune too! Staff was pleasant and helpful, room was quiet and clean, no problems with the internet connection, and it is in a very good location in central Stockholm.

The fact that I say I'd stay here again is a testament to the customer service of the hotel. When I checked in to this hotel, they advised that their computer system had crashed and they couldn't put me into a room. However, they immediately contacted another Scandic hotel close by and arranged for everything. I had several problems with the other Scandic hotel, but when I came back the Norra Bantorget the next day, they knew about all the problems and upgraded me to a VERY nice room, had fruit and chocolate waiting in the room, and gave me credit to buy items in the hotel. All in all, a very nice hotel and responsive staff.

Hotel is very central but on the small road. This is good because no traffic noise. Hotel has been recently refurbished. Nice lobby and decent breakfast. Clean rooms and helpful staff but no clothes cabinet in the room.

Great clean room. The complimentary breakfast had a large tasty variety which was great. Room was a tad small, but I guess that's Europe for you. Great location, not too far away from all the sites down south. Friendly and helpful staff. Just an absolute best buy for the price.

This hotel is a very good value; breakfast is good, has CNN, has internet, easy walk from train station

My wife and I spent 4 days in July at the hotel prior to a Baltic cruise and the Clarion Bastion was our home base. As has been said, the front desk staff was stellar, the breakfast and dinner buffets were more than adequate (although I would argue that they were not as good as some have indicated) and the meal prices (free) were certainly unbeatable. We did not have occasion to make afternoon waffles/pancakes since we were out touring and seeing the sites but upon return we were always greeted by the friendly staff, cold water, and fresh fruit. Something that is not stressed enough is the location of the hotel. It is within easy walking distance of many of the most important and interesting sites in Oslo: the Oslo Opera House, the Karl Johans gate, the central train & bus station, the visitor information center, etc. Yes, there is highway construction in front of the hotel but it's only during the day and although unsightly, not a huge deterrent to staying at the hotel. Unfortunately, like all big cities, Oslo has a small population of drug users and we encountered them on a regular basis when walking along the water front and to/from the Opera House. We never felt threatened by them but maybe we should have. Although a sad commentary on society in general, I do not believe that this is a deterrent to staying at the hotel. The bottom line, a great value for money!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The location was perfect. The hotel is on a quiet side street but very close to the main walking area. Everything was within walking distance.

We really enjoyed the hotel. The room was comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the location was convenient.

This hotel is the best of all the three hotels we stayed during our vacation. Maybe because it's modern building, our room is clean, very modern bathroom, breakfast is superb and the staffs are very accomodating snd approachable. The hotels we stayed have one thing in common...the "location" walking distance to what a traveler is looking for, restaurants, shopping, tourist spots, POI, et al.
