Awesome location and view!Perfect for large group. We had five couples stay and the kitchen/living area provided ample space to visit and eat. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom which made it nice to get ready for wedding festivities. True mountain feel.

The house was immaculate, we had everything we needed to live comfortably. Ample towels, kitchen utensils, blankets, games, and so much space. Bonus’s were the amazing hot tub, cleaning supplies, and recommendations discounts on local things to do. If we decide to visit steamboat again this will definitely be where we go!

Great Ski location and great houae

We completely enjoyed our stay as the house was great, well equipped , and a perfect ski in ski out ( yes a 100 yard walk but easy) to come in for lunch and enjoy a hot tub soak after a day on the slopes. Would stay again.

The Gondola House was the perfect size for our group with plenty of space as well as in an excellent location. The slopes are a short walk away to where we were able to walk and hop on a run down to the base of the gondola and ski off and walk back to the house every day. The shuttle service that Steamboat Lodging Co. provides is also very convenient and accommodating. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Steamboat Springs Gondola House

We felt right at home at the Gondola House property! We utilized each area of the home, including the outside areas! The views were spectacular, and we enjoyed the wildlife that visited the property. We enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing on the deck area. The living space was very generous, and the kitchen was well-equipped! We were thoroughly pleased with our stay!

Gondola House 1st week of March

We had two properties for our large group and used this house to host. The great room / kitchen were nicely remodeled and true to photos online. The rest of the house was functional. Having the Carriage House was a great option, as well as access to the garage.

Perfect escape

The Gondola House was perfect for our multi-generational family trip! The home is so beautiful, comfortable and convenient! The staff went above and beyond for us! We thought we were going to use the ski trail close by, but the shuttle service was better. It felt almost like we had our own driver all week. The drivers were kind, knowledgeable about the area, and treated us like they'd known us for years! We will stay with Steamboat lodging every time we visit!

Beautiful house on the mountain

This large, comfortable home was perfect for our group of friends exploring the Steamboat area. The location on the mountain is great -- out of the bustle of downtown, close to bike & hike trails. The house had lots of amenities. The managers were easy to contact, responded quickly and were very helpful. We loved the deck, the hot tub and all of the windows for lots of light and fresh air. The kitchen could have been a little cleaner when we moved in, but overall this was a great place for our week in the mountains.

Awesome spot!

My family stayed at Gondola House this June and it was the perfect home for our family vacation. We adore Steamboat and wish we had found this home earlier for past vacations. It's private, right on the mountain, and has the most incredible views of the gondola and the valley. Plenty of room to spread out amongst the rooms and it's been renovated recently so everything felt updated. We cooked and grilled a lot and the kitchen was stocked and ready for us. The bedding is new and nice and opening the windows at night for fresh mountain air is highly recommended. My nephew came up and stayed in the caretaker room above the garage which was awesome for space and privacy. We had a slight issue with the hot tub not being warm enough when we arrived, but we chatted with Steamboat Lodging Company about it and since it was recently cleaned, it just needed a little more time to warm up. Not a problem for a clean hot tub, that's for sure. Overall, 10 outta 10 for this home and we're already booked for our winter ski trip!

Perfect House for Group Ski Trip!

Our group of ten 30-somethings recently stayed at the Gondola House during a recent early-December ski trip, and the house was everything we had hoped for and more. From the open kitchen / living space to the boot warmers and ski racks just inside the downstairs door, the house was seemingly built with a 'group ski trip' in mind. Being able to walk directly to the slopes in our ski boots was a game changer, and being able to walk directly FROM the slopes to our private hot tub was even better. There was something about sitting in the hot tub with the gondola running overhead that really maximized the "ski vacation" vibe. Peggy and the Steamboat Lodging Co. team were attentive and professional, and I really felt that they would do anything to ensure that our group had a great visit. They called a couple of days before our arrival to answer any questions and remind us of their complimentary shuttle service (which our group used to head downtown for dinner one night), and their iPhone app made checking in/out a breeze. They've really nailed the "be attentive and helpful but not intrusive" balance perfectly. Sure, having a powder-covered mountain seemingly to ourselves for the weekend set us up for success, but having this house really made our trip one to remember. Looking forward to staying here again soon!

Great fit for young adults/family

Very much enjoyed our week stay at Gondola House. original plan was for myself, four adult children (22-30 yo), and grandma to stay. Grandma said she was okay with stairs to get to a bedroom but she dropped out (along with one of my kids) at the last minute. While the bedroom arrangement worked well, not sure having grandma going up and down the stairs would have worked. For the remainder, it was great. opened the windows at night and it was great sleeping weather - even in August. Youngest child had the apartment over the garage - so he could chill out away from everyone else - which he loved. A little warm during the day in summer but not bad with fans. The location was the best part. Easy access to the Thunderhead trail to get to the top (3.4 mile hike from the door to the gondola). 12-15 minute walk either down the trail or on city street to Wild Plum and Truffle Pig (highly recommend both). From Wild Plum are, caught the bus either to City Market or downtown. Did some DIY tubing, went to the botanical gardens - all short drives. Hot tub was nice at night. Spent mornings on the back porch reading and drinking coffee. great stay - thank you all very much!

A wonderful option near the slopes

Our group of nine thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The walk to the slopes was short and easy, and the free shuttle provided by the lodging company was very convenient for most other transportation needs. The living room, kitchen and dining areas were perfect for our group, and most of the bedrooms are lovely (though the twin bedroom and its bathroom are a bit sub-par). We had a few maintenance issues, but thought the property managers were very prompt and responsive in dealing with them. We would love to come back!

Anniversary Trip

We had a wonderful stay at the Gondola House. Our children and their spouses met us to celebrate our anniversary. There was plenty of room for all of us to eat, visit and play games. We had a wonderful stay at the Gondola House. Our children and their spouses met us to celebrate our anniversary. There was plenty of room for all of us to eat, visit and play games. The house was very clean and furnished with everything we need. And, the owners sent a bottle of wine to help us celebrate. Thank you for an awesome experience!

Great house for a big group!

The house was more than spacious for our ten-person group. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the amenities you would need to cook for a big group. The additional care taker's house is also a very nice feature to allow some people to be away from the main living area if ever necessary. The house is also very close to being able to ski-in/ski-out, only a couple hundred feet walk to the nearest access to the ski trails. Steamboat lodging company was also very responsive to our questions/requests. We really enjoyed our stay!
