Family took a trip to my mom's home town for her 80th birthday. Not much from which to choose in the area, but we were happy with this place. The only negative ( and I don't include this in the rating because it is an optional space) was the super slow breakfast service at the hotel restaurant. Almost 45 minutes from sit down to an egg and two pieces of bacon being put down in front of me. Apparently the new cook was learning breakfast. Next time, hire a mom😄
The hotel had enough space to easily walk my dog which was important but it was hot and the air condition was not cold enough the first night .By the second night the room cooled. On the first night i had no phone and didnt realize it until i went to put in my wake up time. They fixed that the next night. The room was clean but the bedding was weird as the quilt didnt come up to my shoulders until i pulled it out from the bottom of the mattress.I went to the desk twice and couldnt find anyone. The help was friendly and i would stay again as needed.
I always stay at this hotel when I return to my hometown of Burnham to visit my family. I travel with my dog who also enjoys staying at the Quality Inn & Suites. Upon our arrival, the very nice lady working the desk, (I didn't get her name, but it was the afternoon of 7-1), greeted me and already had my keys available. The check in process was seamless and she was very friendly. The other two days I was a guest, the very nice young man Brandon was working. I had a Wi Fi issue which he was quick to resolve. I have been in the hotel industry for 22 years and know how important it is to have happy, friendly and helpful staff and this hotel team always takes great care of me and my sweet pup. The housekeeping staff was also engaging when I would see them in the walk ways. Keep up the great work guys and gals! Thanks for being pet friendly and for always providing me with a place to stay. I love the upgrades that took place since my last visit and can't wait to return.
We stayed here 2 nights with 13 other families while attending a local baseball tournament. The staff was very a accommodating to our large group. The layout of the hotel (especially the pool) was perfect for letting the kids and adults have the space they needed while outside. While the rooms felt dated, everything was clean and neat. The pillows were my favorite part of the rooms! The shower pressure was less than awesome and the shower head was a tad low, but the pros outweighed the cons for this hotel. I'd highly recommend for large groups. Our kids made some great memories here!
I have had my wedding reception just last April 2017, from the first day that I inquired through phone, Ms. Karen helped me a lot in all the details that I need. And it turned out so beautiful and the food was so delicious, and the staffs was approachable, friendly. Room was clean and cozy...I will definitely go back there and will recommend to my friends and families...
We stopped because of the chain affiliation and were surprised a bit -- especially by the no breakfast policy. The staff folks were most accommodating, but the place is kind of worn. Our room was clean and convenient, but wi-fi browser connection went out during the night. Perhaps the best feature was the attached restaurant -- we had a well-served and tasty meal there. At least, that should be made available for breakfast. I've stayed a many Choice Inns in the eastern US, but this one was not up to par.
I pass thru this area a lot but never stayed..my transmission line blew on my truck so I started looking...I arrived at the hotel and met Leann at front desk & Michelle the bartender (nice place and well stocked..). Super nice and very helpful gals..!! Leann booked me in a room, very close and a pretty nice room..next day I had to get truck towed to repair shop and coordinate AAA, tow company, repair shop (on Sunday) and no phone charger...jeez lol. Through all this stuff...Brendan & Bridget were also very helpful and resourceful...thanks all, I appreciate it!
Very disappointed, not sure how this place is allowed to carry the Quality Inn name, it is very old and outdated. This is the first Quality Inn that I have stayed at in years that didn't offer a Hot Continental breakfast instead they throw some prepackaged muffins in a basket on the front desk. There is nothing in walking distance from this hotel either, they do have a attached restaurant but, wasn't open for breakfast. The old steel doors on the rooms are hard to open, very noisy and the safety lock was hanging off of my door. The desk chair was very rickety, all of the furniture was nicked, scratched and outdated, the towels are thin, the shower head was too low and the the two handle valve was difficult to regulate the water temp. There are not enough outlets in the room either, the only outlet on the wall where the desk sat was behind the refer/micro combo and was difficult to get to. The only way you can plug your cell phone in at the nightstand was to pull the bed away from the wall because the plug in was behind the bed. I do a lot of traveling and just about every Hotel I stay at have outlets on the lamps, a power station at the desk for business travelers and power station on the night stand . I would have Never paid the price that this hotel charged if I knew the condition of this hotel before arrival, sad that travelers have to come across name brand properties like this in 2016.
I stay at this hotel quite often for work in the area.it is an older hotel but I have never been disappointed with the accommodations or helpful staff Tony's restaurant is attached to the hotel serving good food and beverages. will stay here again when i'm in the area
Because we couldn't get accommodations closer to State College for the football game, this was our closest option (about 30 miles away). My husband, our physically disabled son and I booked a room with 2 double beds but it wasn't "handicapp accessible"...as is too often when we book for vacations as a family...many times those rooms only have one bed. Well the staff at the hotel couldn't have been more accommodating. I spoke with Karen before the visit and she had maintenance measure the door width to make sure the wheelchair fit. She actually went out and purchased a special shower stool for our visit!! I was amazed that the staff went the extra mile. Housekeeping and check in also very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms were dated but clean.
