Savannah Cottage

Excellent experience. Loved St. Simon Island and the Savannah Cottage was exceptional. Great access to the pool and the ocean/beach. Would recommend this property to family and friends!! In addition, Carol from St.Simons rentals was exceptional and very informative!

Fall break 2023

This is our second year coming to SSI for fall break. This property could not have been more perfect for us. Plenty of space for our family of four. The house could easily accommodate more people. It was very well appointed with plenty of linens and towels. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook a family meal. Details have been considered, all the way down to the extension cords near the lamps by the beds to make plugging in your phone at night easy. Check in/out was easy and we had the details we needed with plenty of notice. The house has better parking availability than most on the street. We easily parked a small sedan and a large SUV. We had space for another car, if needed. Would definitely recommend and look forward to a return visit.

Our favorite location

We have stayed here several times and always loved it. We were not looking forward to the trip through the sand and weeds to the beach but this year it was so easy. Thank you to the hoa for adding the board walk that now takes you directly to the beach over that! Yay! Also loved the new countertop in the kitchen and the addition of outdoor shades and rugs. Always a great house this was the icing on the cake. Our 7 yr old grandson did not want to leave. He was rarely out of the pool or ocean and if he was he was riding his scorer in front of the house. It is perfect for our 5 adults and two children. We will be there again next year!

Wonderful house/wonderful location..East Beach

Wonderful house with three bedrooms and three and 1/2 baths. Very pretty inside and out. The house is tall with many steps, but has a nice indoor elevator to transport luggage/supplies (or to avoid having to climb stairs). Beautiful outdoor porches and pools and beach are a very close walk. The WWII Homefront Museum is also a short walk. Excellent location to beach and beautiful St. Simon's. Would stay in this house again. Lovely!

Charming family getaway

Our family had a great experience with this charming house. Three floors of wrap around porches, a centralized living room and kitchen and separate bedrooms create plenty of space to come together or spread out. The house was clean and well stocked with towels, dishes, pillows, etc. We grilled, we air-fried, we microwaved… it’s all there for you. The neighborhood is great for families and it’s a short walk to the nearby crab shacks and brewery. Overall, you won’t be disappointed with this house and neighborhood!

Southern charm

The cottage we stayed at has a lot appeal inside and out. Three floors provided our family with both privacy and a place to congregate for entertainment. The cottage is located in close proximity to the beach and most things to do in the island. We visit SSI yearly and our accommodations at the cottage was one of the best yet.

Beautiful home!

We absolutely loved our stay at this home. The location is beautiful and a short walk to the beach. I don’t fault the homeowner for this, but the walk to the beach was a bit treacherous through marshy conditions and ants. We heard it isn’t always like that and the home owners are hoping for a bridge to be built. Regardless, I would bring water shoes for the walk to the beach. A few of our favorites about the house: the beds were so comfortable! The house itself was just beautiful and so well decorated. The porches were comfortable and relaxing for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning. The location to town was great. Everything we needed was a 5 minute drive away! A few things that weren’t as we expected: the home info we received said there was a Keurig coffee pot, so I purchased K cups for the morning. There was no Keurig (it was a standard pot) and no coffee provided. The home appliances and kitchen items could use more careful attention (better knives and some storage containers would be super helpful). The freezer was extremely difficult to open, and the ice maker tray was one giant block of ice. NONE of this spoiled our stay, but it could have been frustrating if we were more dependent on cooking while we were there. Finally, I was expecting to be able to see the ocean from the house because one of the pictures seemed to appear that there was a view. This is not the case. Nor can you hear the ocean so far from the beach. However, there is plenty to see in the neighborhood, and we didn’t mind the street view. Overall, I am very pleased with our stay and would love to return one day!

Gorgeous home in amazing location!

Amazing home, with wonderful access to the pool and beach. We loved all the porches, and the kitchen was very well stocked for cooking large family meals. We also appreciated all the extras, like the beach cart, beach chairs, etc. Wish this beautiful house could be our forever home!

Listing not accurate

House is great but listing is wrong. Listing says ocean view and there is not one. Out the front you look across the street at another house and have a street right behind home. House was nice but was expecting house on beach and it is not. Had to walk down street without sidewalk to get to the beach.

Family Trip

We had 4 adults and 4 kids (aged 2-6) stay over the long weekend. The home is beautiful, comfortable and family friendly. There were kids toys and books in the living room which was fantastic and the kids loved the bunk room. We had to take a sheet over the round window in the bunk room to help the kids not wake up crazy early, but otherwise the kids room was perfect. The porches were amazing for reading or playing outside. The outdoor shower was great for cleaning up before heading inside. This is my bee favorite house in this neighborhood which is our go to! A second sofa or loveseat one the living room would be great for bigger group. There are plenty of chairs, just not as cozy when settling in at night with 4 adults and kids. The two master suites are wonderful! The kitchen was even stocked with kids cups and Tupperware which was great for leftovers or taking lunch down to the beach. We truly felt at home. I can’t wait to stay here again.

Family Vacation

This was an excellent property with a great location and amenities. With 6 adults plus a baby we fit with plenty of room to spare. The amenities allowed everyone to access what they wanted beach, pool, shopping, golf and great restaurants. We all agreed well be back for another visit!

Loved LOVED this house!

Everything about this house and location was perfect! My whole family enjoyed our time here so much. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect set up. The house was clean! And to be honest it was even better than we expected. We already booked it for our next spring break!

Perfect Pinterest board

A friend of mine saw the home in a post that I made on social media & said “it looks like you’re living in a Pinterest board!” and she was so right! The home was flawlessly decorated from top to bottom and beautifully maintained. We had plenty of space and everything we needed for a couples getaway long weekend. Communication, check in, and check out were communicated very well and if we had any issues(which we did not!) the realty company was just a text away. We have always enjoyed going to beach towns during their slow January month and Saint Simons was no exception. Savannah cottage was an easy walk to the pools and beach(though we did not use them because of the weather being in the 50s) and we could bike to anywhere we needed(shops, restaurants, massage, etc) within 10mins max. Savannah cottage is a perfect location when visiting the island’s activities or for just a day spent in watching tv on the couch or reading on the porch swing. We will be back!

Great house

This house is in a great location and was a wonderful fit for my family. We have been remodeling our home and with no kitchen, this was the perfect place to celebrate Thanksgiving. The other big plus was the elevator. My husband had a stroke late October so the elevator helped him make this vacation so much easier. Would love to come back

Beautiful home with great location to beach

We had an great time in this beautiful rental. Walk to the beach was within minutes and house was spacious and accommodated 8 of us easily. We relaxed on the balcony/porch each morning. The most important thing for us was cleanliness and it met our expectations. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
