Harbour Oaks is a quiet gated community just a couple blocks from the downtown Village/Pier area. You can enjoy walking to the lighthouse, restaurants, shops and park.

Thanksgiving weekend

This was a perfect place for us to get together for Thanksgiving weekend. We enjoyed the large eating table for everyone to sit and visit and eat. The loop around the buildings was great for walking the dogs. The location was perfect to visit St Simmons shops and restaurants and close to visit Brunswick and Jekyl Island. Thank you!

Ladies Vacation

We were able to check in a little sooner than 4 PM due to it getting cleaned prior to our check-in time. Bedroom accomodations were everything we needed. A couple of things that we were not happy about was the swimming pool was not clean. This in part due to the tree that hung over the pool area. Also, our condo lacked the appropriate cookware needed. Lids did not match pots or frying pans, Ice was left in the ice maker that was brought from the outside and had melted at one time therefore forming a very large clump of ice in the bottom making it hard to remove and the ice to make more. We bought more ice. We bought and left toilet paper, paper towels, trashcan liners and Kleenex to use. The last stay at Harbour Oaks, we had plenty of this to use but not in this condo. Overall, the condo was very nice and clean.

Can't review the condo we booked. We couldn't stay in it.

We were unable to stay in this unit. We were notified 2 weeks before we were to check in that it it was supposed to have been rented out because the owners were using it then. The management company then attempted to accommodate us with smaller units for the same price. The unit we choose (of the 3 options they gave because the island was fully booked) was 2 bedrooms instead of 3. The other down sides of the unit we got were inadequate parking, TV's that didn't work properly and it needs to be completely updated. The bathrooms are original to the 1980's and the carpet is atleast 20 years old. The directions given to arrive at the unit were confusing. The small parking deck at the Beach Club is designed for compact cars only and only one small circle for larger cars. We would've just canceled our trip but we had family meeting us there that were flying in from NY and couldn't cancel flight 2 weeks before.

Great for families

I stayed at this property with my parents, husband, two young boys, and our small dog. It is walking distance from the village, in a safe and gated community. Our biggest complaint was that the floors were dirty. The place looked clean, but our feet/ socks before bed were black. Everything else was clean, floors just needed to be mopped (which is the case for most beach rentals). There was ample seating for everyone. We were pleased with the supplies provided (we got 2 dishwasher tabs, extra towels/washcloths, and ample toilet paper and paper towels, were most places we stay we don’t get nearly that many supplies). Everyone was great to work with. Good value. And the property has a pool and tennis court.
