Thought in a hotel like Holiday Inn the staff will be more courteous and professional especially the staff working in the restaurant named MILANO,instead of asking for an apology they were making faces and blaming me for the delay in serving the food. I think they have no sense how to behave with their customers. Looks like they have taken their job for granted and they should go back to school again atleast to learn how to be courteous.
The rooms are nice and clean, the breakfast is good, but too hectic with having to cue up to get in and then cue up to get your eggs. They need to be more organised as tour groups are on a tight schedule. The hotel is not central, so you need to figure out how to use public transport, which isn't that easy. It's a large hotel with tour groups staying, so I suggest you leave yourself plenty of time to go to breakfast and lifts can also take a long time as it's busy and the key card sometimes stops working.
Brilliant and clean! Breakfast was ok but choices are always limited for me because I’m vegan!! Excellent view of St petersburg. I stayed on the 9th floor and the metro station is literally downstairs on the left as you walk out the main entrance. Initially I was surprised that there’s a nightclub located on the 1st floor called XXXX however there’s nothing seedy about it. I was traveling with family so nothing to worry about! It’s a short taxi ride to and from the airport and the metro will take you to Nevsky Prospect or the wherever very efficiently. I absolutely love the location and there’s plenty of restaurants along the main road. The hotel and room is huge with two double beds and a huge bathroom. It’s very modern and very good value too!! The hotel concierge will happily do visa invitation once booking is confirmed and take your passport away for registration upon arrival. Highly recommended for a stay here whilst visiting St. Petersburg.
Spacious room, nice view, comfortable bed and I was staying at the 7th floor. Aircon/Heater was a bit hard to control. Either it wasn't working or just a max heat is set. There is a bit of an old room smell though. I like that their bathroom tiles are heated though and warm. :) They have 2 restaurants. The restaurant that serves breakfast is quite busy in the morning. Lots of tourist groups staying when I was at this hotel in September, so there was quite a queue at breakfast time. If you want to have a good seat, go at 7AM. Hotel is accessible to public transport and next to the Metro station. Also handy that there is a supermarket nearby. Overall I think it was comfortable.
This is a huge hotel in St. Petersburg. Large rooms. Good internet. Excellent food that was well priced. Close to transit. Decent bar with good prices for a hotel bar. Very good staff and all have decent english skills. An very good experience.
Located a bit far from the downtown area, the area has some nice restaurants within walking distance. We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed a buffet breakfast each morning. The staff are very cordial and most helpful.
While this hotel seems to have good ratings here, I found my experience very poor, particularly when compared to other Holiday Inn hotels I stayed earlier. The hotel location is great. It is not really in the center, but close to metro stop, which makes it easier to get most of locations in St. Petersburg. The room was good, but with few of major drawbacks. Firstly, the chain on the door was ripped together with wood pieces (chain would make me feel safer). Secondly, in the middle of September the air conditioning was on 'summer' setting (and there was no note about this). This was strange, when outside temperature was around 12-14 degrees during the day and 5-7 during the night. I got cold in the night and put on the a/c hoping for warm air, but eventually had only very cold air with made the situation worse. The room had two small blankets, which means that there were holes. Thirdly, the TV had red noise on all channels. It was 10pm, when I put it on, so it was too late to complain. I mentioned about this to reception person, when checking out, but he did not even ask for the room number. The breakfast experience was horrible -- crowds of Chinese tourists, which the staff hopelessly tried to control; no free tables (and I was alone, so my table was taken, when I was getting the food). The food was horrible -- sausages were impossible to eat and omelet was based on the recipe from Soviet times. Horrible lines everywhere. The hotel does not have a proper pedestrian entrance. There is a parking lot and you have to walk through cars to get to the entrance.
I with my family stayed in this hotel on 14 July 2017 , we found it perfect , breakfast , room service , internet , large rooms , cleanness, and most important location was the best , we enjoyed staying there and recommend it to those who are going to visit saint Petersburg and Moscow, Kazem Ziyari
Rooms are ok but no minibar. Good beds (a bit noisy because of the traffic). Floor heating in bathroom which is nice in the morning. Staff was friendly. Breakfast offers enough choices, but very busy with waiting queues Subway nearby, 4 stops away from Nevsky Prospect and only 10 kms away from the airport.
After Moscow, it was our second city stay in Russia. Wonderful place, very spacious rooms, nice location and clean. Free Wi-fi with clean bed & bathroom linen, along with complimentary Tea-Coffee making facility made our stay very comfortable and nice. Restaurant had wide variety of food in the breakfast. However, due to being a large hotel full of tourists, it is advisable to go for breakfast earlier than later. Staff service was courteous and friendly. There is a departmental store just adjacent to hotel building, very convenient. Will visit again.
