It was convenient because all forms of transportation were pretty close. There is a big grocery store right next door and some food stands and restaurants nearby. It is 3 subway stops away from Nevsky prospekt. The only downside was that there was no fridge!
Service in hotel was really bad. Organization missing responsibilitie missing staff is very tired. They work very hard but management didn’t see nothing. I been there twice but every time same problem. Room was clean. F&B staff s is good. If I have to be honest never back in this hotel.
Location: An average location, away from the canals / Nevskiy Ave (which is a 10-20 minute drive depending on traffic). The hotel is located next to Moscovskie Vorota Metro station. Nevskiy Prospekt Station, which is along the commercial area on Nevskiy Ave, is 4 stations away. Traveling on public transport feels relatively safe here. Hotel / Service: Service, as expected in Russia, is mixed - some staff were ok and but others seemed a bit cold and grumpy looking. This hotel caters mainly to large tour groups, so you would not be expecting any personalized or very warm service from the staffs. The room was spacious and reasonably clean. The interiors looked a bit dated but generally, well maintained. Internet connection is below average and rather spotty. 2 complimentary bottled water is provided for the entire stay. Since it's advisable not to drink from the tap, you could buy bottled water from the nearby supermarket. Breakfast is average. Service is rather poor as it was quite a challenge to get coffee from the staff. Overall experience: You would probably stay in this hotel as part of a large western tour group. Service is generally impersonal and the stay here was relatively unremarkable. You'd most likely get a better hotel in a nicer part of St Petersburg.
This hotel serves the business and vacationing clients well, they have available several restaurants Even though they get real business with vacationing groups they have a large staff to compliment that
Thought in a hotel like Holiday Inn the staff will be more courteous and professional especially the staff working in the restaurant named MILANO,instead of asking for an apology they were making faces and blaming me for the delay in serving the food. I think they have no sense how to behave with their customers. Looks like they have taken their job for granted and they should go back to school again atleast to learn how to be courteous.
The rooms are nice and clean, the breakfast is good, but too hectic with having to cue up to get in and then cue up to get your eggs. They need to be more organised as tour groups are on a tight schedule. The hotel is not central, so you need to figure out how to use public transport, which isn't that easy. It's a large hotel with tour groups staying, so I suggest you leave yourself plenty of time to go to breakfast and lifts can also take a long time as it's busy and the key card sometimes stops working.
Brilliant and clean! Breakfast was ok but choices are always limited for me because I’m vegan!! Excellent view of St petersburg. I stayed on the 9th floor and the metro station is literally downstairs on the left as you walk out the main entrance. Initially I was surprised that there’s a nightclub located on the 1st floor called XXXX however there’s nothing seedy about it. I was traveling with family so nothing to worry about! It’s a short taxi ride to and from the airport and the metro will take you to Nevsky Prospect or the wherever very efficiently. I absolutely love the location and there’s plenty of restaurants along the main road. The hotel and room is huge with two double beds and a huge bathroom. It’s very modern and very good value too!! The hotel concierge will happily do visa invitation once booking is confirmed and take your passport away for registration upon arrival. Highly recommended for a stay here whilst visiting St. Petersburg.
Spacious room, nice view, comfortable bed and I was staying at the 7th floor. Aircon/Heater was a bit hard to control. Either it wasn't working or just a max heat is set. There is a bit of an old room smell though. I like that their bathroom tiles are heated though and warm. :) They have 2 restaurants. The restaurant that serves breakfast is quite busy in the morning. Lots of tourist groups staying when I was at this hotel in September, so there was quite a queue at breakfast time. If you want to have a good seat, go at 7AM. Hotel is accessible to public transport and next to the Metro station. Also handy that there is a supermarket nearby. Overall I think it was comfortable.
This is a huge hotel in St. Petersburg. Large rooms. Good internet. Excellent food that was well priced. Close to transit. Decent bar with good prices for a hotel bar. Very good staff and all have decent english skills. An very good experience.
Located a bit far from the downtown area, the area has some nice restaurants within walking distance. We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed a buffet breakfast each morning. The staff are very cordial and most helpful.
