Four Seasons Hotel Lion Palace St. Petersburg

The hotel is a beautifully restored palace near the Hermitage Museum, shopping district and theaters. Professional staff and great service. Onsite Italian restaurant is one of the best in the city. Nice place to end the day in the lounge.

I had high expectations upon arrival - and I was not let down. From the pickup at the airport to the checkout at the end of our stay, Lion Palace truly lived up to the high standards expected from a Four Seasons hotel. Perfectly loctaed in the centre of Saint Petersburg, it's an excellent choice for a weekend in the "Venice of the North". Not only is the interior of the hotel beautifly executed, but also seems to be meticolously maintained, hence I didn't see any signs of wear and tear. Service was up to par, one person in my company had his birthday during our stay - and this was recognized not less than four times during the day - including birthday cake at the breakfast, complimentary drinks in the bar and a cart with wine and cheese waiting in the room. Since january is part of the low season, we only saw a few other guests staying at the hotel. Consequently we had the pool and spa area almost to ourselves, which I can imagine being very cramped during the high season. We also tried the Asian restaurant at the hotel, which was an enjoyable experience but not the best value for money compared to restaurants outisde the hotel. The only real drawback I can think of is that during our stay - the hotel bar was out of light lager beer, and after a while I got a bit tired of the IPA.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel, a former palace, in St. Petersburg. The Four Seasons Hotel Lion Palace is in a great location with many top tourist attractions, restaurants and bars quite close by. The hotel from the outside looks beautiful and imposing, and once inside it is also rather lovely as well. The room that we stayed in was nice, clean, well decorated and had good facilities. The bed was very comfortable, which meant we had no problems with sleeping. The views from our bedroom was rather nice. The breakfast was of a good quality, and the Italian restaurant was superb. The service was very good with some wonderful and warm staff. Overall this was a wonderfully comfortable and relaxing short stay at this lovely hotel, and also a great short visit to the beautiful city of St. Petersburg.

We were made feel at home!!! Felix the Hotel manager welcomed us personally, made sure the Concierge prepared a three day plan for us, and all restaurants, staff, Concierge team, drivers, bellboys, front desk, etc, incredibly nice, warm and always eager to assist with big smiling faces!! Hotel is beautiful, worthy of its palace origin, fantastic restaurants, incredible drivers and hotel limousine cars. As good it gets!!! Loved our stay! Thanks!

We looked forward to our stay here and were really excited to celebrate the New Year. Unfortunately, our overall experience wasn’t what was expected. Certainly from a hotel of such level and reputation. For the amount of money you pay to stay here you should be getting a consistently good service..... this is the only high expectation I had which wasn’t met. Here are some points to note - The hotel’s location is superb. The hotel’s restaurants are good however not consistently good service. The hotel’s room (we stayed at Four Seasons room) was lovely. The bathroom in the room was amazingly comfy. The Staff of the hotel - some are really nice and seemed to care but then others didn’t appear to have the same level of care and professionalism. For example, we found the staff at the hotel’s bar (which is beautiful ) weren’t very welcoming and friendly. Overall attention to detail - not of 5 star. For example, we were 3 people in the room but only 2 pairs of slippers and 2 robes were provided. After the check out the hotel somehow charged us twice for the potential expenses. We are still waiting for our money to be refunded to us. They tried to put the blame on the banks rather than on themselves which I found unprofessional. Disappointing.

We stayed here for two nights to celebrate my birthday and FS did not disappoint. Exceptional hospitality – a signature attribute of all FS hotels. Thank you for making me feel very special on my special day. The hotel is a former palace: stunning classic interiors beautifully renovated and very well maintained. For me the best part was the spa facilities – lots of relaxing spots + the massage was superb. Very expensive but this is Four Seasons.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Lion Palace and it's surely the best hotel I have ever stayed at. We had a wonderful room with every comfort. The service from the check in staff; concierge and the tea lounge staff was all first class. While all of the staff I met at the hotel were absolutely first class I want to thank Ekaterina and Anna for looking after us so well at breakfast. I know Four Seasons aims to create a home from home experience and at the Lion Palace they have achieved this (if only I lived in such a palace!). Housekeeping was also top class and our room was kept spotless. Well done to everyone at the hotel and sincere thanks for making our holiday special and memorable. We are definitely coming back to stay with you in the near future.

My family and I stayed at the Four Seasons for the "white nights". The hotel was maximum 4 * and not worth the high price. The rooms are a little bit shabby , stains on the carpet and furniture but bathroom was nice. One can see that the bedrooms were done on the cheap. The staff was wonderfull and did everything to help us. The breakfast buffet had all kinds of pancakes , waffles ,cheeses and tasted great, The house of the hotel has beautiful architecture and it is a pity the house was renovated with little love for detail, Aman or Mandarin Oriental would have created a luxury hotel. We paid 900 Euros and that was way too much

A perfect stay to SP , fantastic location, design and room sizes ( a suite with a balcony ) , amazing restaurants , and great recreation facilities.. Hotel team is great, room service is fast Just perfect, will be back

Wonderful terrace room with view during the week before the New Year for 8 nights. Staff very attentive and spoke enough English for all needs but still authentically Russian experience. Great location for walking to many of the attractions as well as experiencing the life of locals. Hope to return!
