The Exchange is located so close to many wonderful restaurants and shops. It is also easy walking distance to St. Pete Pier, with great people watching. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend the Wooden Rooster, a few blocks away, for amazing crepe.

This hotel greatly exceeded my expectations. The front staff if great. They will tell you that it is an older hotel but they are proud of it. The bar area downstairs was a pleasant surprise. Good food and drink options. For the price, this hotel is a great choice. I was with a large group during my stay and everybody loved it. Proximity to downtown was what prompted us to check into the Exchange Hotel in the first place. Pool area is small but was large enough for my group to relax and chill. Highly recommend this place. After looking at other hotels in the area (that were priced a lot higher), we selected this hotel and very happy with our decision.

The Exchange Hotel was an excellent location in downtown St. Pete. We were able to walk everywhere. The hotel felt very safe, the staff was so friendly and helpful, and service was prompt. I liked the historical building, yet it was renovated with modern décor. We stayed for 2 nights while visiting family, it was exactly what we needed.
The room was small, but adequate. The bed was fairly comfy, and the lobby area was lovely. The hallways were a little confusing in their layout from the old building, and the room is showing it's age with a strong musty odor. Also, note that you will have to pay $20 a day for valet parking. Overall, for the price and only one night, it was fine, but I don't think I'd stay here more then a night or two.
Very Old room with a fresh coat of paint. The tiniest bathroom with a shower curtain that’s too short so the bathroom flooded. Something so easy to fix but obviously gets overlooked daily. I realize I booked the cheapest room available as I just needed a place to sleep but if I had to stay longer than 8 hours I would have asked for a new room
Our A/C wasn’t working super great, but Hannah was absolutely amazing. She had us in a new room in less than a minute. Super friendly and helpful.
It’s a tad dates and not opulent by any means, but, location, location, location.

The Exhange Hotel is a friendly, comfortable, environmentally-smart hotel that is within walking distance of everywhere you want to go in St. Pete's. Their sensible room policy lets you decide if you want your linens/towels changed, and when. In my five-day stay I saw no need for any service, and they left my room alone. Just think of the savings in unnecessary water, detergent, and labor usage! The entire staff was very helpful. However, the bathroom had some plumbing problems that they were unable to take care of. Also, the phone in my room didn't work, and the local phone company didn't help. Note that if you choose to drive to Exchange, it will cost you $20.00/night for valet parking. I strongly recommend leaving your car elsewhere. You won't need it. Bradford Lewis
