Nice pool(a little cool). Close to beach and cool clubs/bars/restaurants/shops. Heavy handed billing (charged full week before l even checked in-non refundable) tub and windows were filthy.

Excellent location to walk with good access to the beach Decent value overall

One of my employees brought a chain saw for me to inspect prior to use the property called the sheriffs and had us trespassed with days remaining on our stay. I wasn’t even permitted to return to grab my last bit of belongings ($70 of charger and cables).

The room, service, cleanliness and kindness and feeling safe in and welcome .... thank you Goliday Isles and Resort ... I will return when i around this area the next time 😇😁😁😁

I thought the whole stay was great! The weather was rainy the 1st day and a half. the location was awesome, the trolley rides, to and from Johns Pass. Had an overall good time. no complaints!

Close to the VA. Didn't dislike anything. I was their to be close to my 0700 appointment.

Everything is close to the hotel and the beach is right across the streer

Liked that is was clean, comfy bed, parking with a trailer was available, Desiree was nice and cheery, gave us a blanket for our cats. Bleach smell was a little strong and the sink backed up, slow draining. Room 28

We were looking for a nice calm, quiet beach for a weekend getaway. Of course it stormed the week before so the water was rough, but still calmer than most of Florida's east coast. Overall we had an enjoyable time in the area, but are unlikely to return to THIS hotel. We'll spend more for added comfort and cleanliness next time. The good: You're literally across the street from the beach. The closest crosswalks and public beach access points are about 5minute walks away, not too bad. Nice pool facility and covered picnic tables for hanging out outside. The room was quite sizable for what I expected, and generally comfortable. Small but functional kitchen and full sized refrigerator/freezer (circa 1990s). The bad: They cut literally every corner imaginable, presumably to save on their own costs. -Our bed sheets weren't fitted to the bed, we just had a top sheet with the edges loosely tucked under the bed to hold it in place (which it didn't, at all). The sheet was also stained with something reddish-brown. -The AC STRUGGLED from about 10am-midnight (Florida's summers are admittedly a challenge for most wall units), and was very loud. No AC or fan in the bathroom, just a small window. -Paint in the bathroom was cracked and chipped giving it a low-cost motel feel. Bathtub was in need of a good scrubbing. -Dishes are provided, with the caveat that (as per a waiver posted on the cabinet door) they have not been sanitized to typical standards.

Stepping into this place is like walking into a time machine! 1971 ! You are there! Rooms have not been updated since. Dad is handicapped, called to confirm room accommodations. Told me they could not help, had to go through booking company, which i did and was given a room down stairs (since they have no elevators). Absolutely NO accommodations for handicap people. The shower had no hand rails, none near toilets, 'non medical quality' shower seat fell apart. I think they have forgone upgrading to keep from handicap requirements. There are 5 curb height transitions from the parking area to the room. No ramps, 1 handicap spot. We get there and they said we owed them money, they charge extra/person +2 people and my mom decided to go at the last minute with my dad and I. They wanted the $ up front. What can you do, leave? So we buckled in for a ride :) The room: A sticky film had covered everything. Grime of oil and sand. The refrigerator had mold growing inside & door seal. Notes placed everywhere extra charges if you do this or don't do this. No maid service, put your towels outside in the morning, they will get you laundered ones. The towels 100% polyester felt like they were left in the dryer too long and started to melt. Mom said it was like rubbing sandpaper on your face. Roach on floor - dead a + Finally time to go to sleep, well try to go to sleep.Right next door is a biker bar, 2-3am hooping and hollering, not our seen anymore. Zero Sleep

The hotel was as excepted. Clean, had a shower/bath combo, and a bed. Zero frills or amenities. So exactly what we were looking for. It was super loud by the pool late at night when we got back, we were concerned about sleep. Honestly we could barely hear anything in our room and we were directly next to where all the noise was coming from.. The staff was awful and enough that we will never be back. It's honestly too bad because if it was for the hotel we would do our yearly trip here. When we checked in, the gentlemen at the desk had zero customer service. Just "Name.. sign here.. HEre's your keys". We asked him how he was doing and he just stared at us like we were idiots. Ok fine, he wasn't born to do customer service. Not a big deal, we weren't there to make friends with the staff. We went on a beach walk at about 6am. When we came back the same guy was STARING at us and watching intently from the second we were in sight until we shut our door. He was acting like he thought we were going to steal something or up to no good. It made me feel very uncomfortable. It was just my husband and I, and we were literally only even at the hotel to shower and sleep. We don't drink or smoke, so it wasn't like he thought we were doing something off.

No way to check out early, guy at front desk needs attitude training. .......that's the best I can say about this place

The experience was great. The bed could have been better, but overall, we had a fantastic stay.

Last time we stayed in something this old was in Honesdale, Pa...But it was okay...the room was clean, it was actually comfy even tho it had age...Parking was in the back of the building...you had to drive around the block to find it. It was right across the street from the beach. We didn't use the pool but it looked okay. Pets were allowed for a charge of $10. It was quiet at night...we stayed one night. Front desk was very polite.

Beds were comfortable and rooms were cool. It was very hot (l0l degrees with high humidity) when we were there in late June!

Used to travel for business or pleasure, I was expecting to have at least a couple of coffee packs in the room. It has all facilities for vacation, couple of restaurants at walking distance, clean, good wireless, specially if you want to watch some movie, because the local TV broadcast is really poor. I don't know how easy is the access to the beach there (anyhow it is located in the wrong side of the road, and it does not seem easy walk across), but I would say it is a good low budget hotel for vacations, and in winter, it has a heated swimming pool, which is a plus for snowbirds and even not so much northern people.

The police were called because guests were upset with someone walking around the hotel grounds with a chain saw. The person carrying the chain saw does not work for the hotel . You failed to mention that you flooded the room below your room and we were not paid for the damages to the flooded room. If the police did not let you get your charger and cables i think you should have that conversation with the police.

Thank you for your review! We are happy you and your pets enjoyed your stay. We will have maintenance check the sink drain, also.

Thank you for staying with us. We apologize if you did not find your room cleanliness to be of the highest standard. We have some new housekeeping staff, and we are training them to do a better job. We also have maintenance going through the rooms and touching them up for paint issues, etc. but your room has not been addressed yet. The waiver concerning dish cleanliness is required to be posted in every room per state regulations, as we are not a restaurant and not required to follow restaurant code concerning dishes. They are provided as a courtesy for guests who wish to utilize them, as some guests prefer not to shop for disposable dishes when they visit. Again, thank you for staying with us, and we are happy to see that you enjoyed your time in Madeira Beach.
