I’ve stayed at many hotels, including the Martha Washington in nearby Abingdon. The rooms were bigger, cleaner and a better value at the Western. Growing up in the area, I never thought we would have such a great hotel in St. Paul. I am looking forward to my next stay.

Fresh menu for breakfast. Clean nice rooms. Had a heater in my room fail. Was upgraded to a better room at no charge. Staff was extremely friendly. A+ in my book all the way. Had small issue with fire alarm one morning but was taken care of fast and professionally.

Comfy and cute

This is an amazing old building. They managed to modernize without getting rid of the charm, including original floors. The room was large, but cozy. Instead of your typical hotel room, the decor and finishes really make it feel homey. The staff was great. We let them know we would be checking in quite late, and even though they didn't have an overnight desk person scheduled, the guy at the desk stayed until we got there at 2 a.m. The attached Mexican restaurant was delicious. We were starting here to go to a race in Bristol, but I would take this over the closer hotels any time.

I wish I could find a hotel like Western Front every time I travel. This qwerky small town spot keeps pace with the big chain competition and was money well spent. From the friendly service to the Virginia scenery, 10/10

Great property. This was our 2nd time staying at the Wester Front in Saint Paul. It is by far the best hotel in the area. The hotel is beautifully done, the staff is very friendly and the little touches (breakfast bucket, coffee area in the lobby, the 2 rooftop areas and outdoor area) add so much to the experience.
