Disliked: Cleanliness
Spacious and well located, but poor maintenance, cleanliness issues, and missing basic supplies made this a disappointing and uncomfortable stay.The home is large and in a good location, but the renovation and furnishings fall just below what’s needed for a comfortable visit. The master bedroom’s exterior door is not sealed, allowing cold air inside, and unfinished openings above bedroom doors let noise travel throughout the house. Despite being advertised as family-friendly, the kitchen table is broken with exposed nails. The house was not clean (dirty floors, sticky refrigerator handle), and no cleaning supplies were provided. Several amenities were technically present but not usable: no dishwasher detergent, a TV remote that didn’t work without downloading an app, and Wi-Fi too slow to stream. Only four towels were provided for three bathrooms, with no hand or dish towels. The property has potential, but it needs significantly better upkeep and preparation for guests.The property appears to be managed by a larger rental company, Abodebucks, with whom we have had similar disappointing experiences in St. Louis. Given that this is a large operator managing many properties, the lack of preparation, maintenance, and basic amenities is especially frustrating.
