We rented the 3 bedroom apartment for a little over a week. It was a bit awkward locating the place because they require you to call before you show up and we had some trouble with the call. The taxi driver also had trouble locating the address. It helps to tell them that it is near the Hotel Fanat. Once we settled in it was great. The apartment was very clean and perfect for our needs: modern kitchen and lovely dining area, balconies overlooking the Adriatic, washing machine and everything you need for the beach. The staff person was helpful. The Apartman on the Beach is close to the beach and about a 20 minute walk to Split. Buses and taxis are also readily available. The Hotel Fanat which has a great breakfast and very helpful staff is right next door.
Apartment was very clean with modern furnishings. It was also well located near the beach and many small restaurants and bars. The staff was very friendly and happy to meet us even at inconvenient times. Would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and quiet stay.
Apartman is beautifully arranged, staff is also very polite. Position is great, and beach is near. You came to the downtown with a light walk next to the sea. And apartman is pretty much equipped.Split is my first favorite Croatian city, the cradle of culture and heritage with a laid back rhythm, but also great places to dine and party as well.
We are a couple that spent a week in onw of these appartments. First of all, the appartments vary a lot in standard. We surely must have gotten the worst one. We paid 814 euros for a week and had to pay cash, something that usually is rewarded by a discount anywhere else in Split, but not here. The apartment lies in the middle of NOWHERE and e had to spend 100-150 kunas each day just on taxi. There in no taxi stand nearby, but old buses departed frequenlty. Nice service, but wasn't worth the money at all!
Here are some important points to be considered in terms of someone travelling to Split: - Apartments are about 10 minutes from the centre of Split via Taxi or Bus. - Taxis are cheap, buses are very cheap. - The beach is literally a 2 minute walk down from the apartment and has waterfront bars, supermarkets, transport, atm's and wifi available in the 'entire' area. The previous reviews stating wifi is an issue are totally untrue and ridiculous. - The owner Gordana and manager Emilia are always contactable and in case you do not have roaming they are available via internet based apps such as Line, Whatsapp and so on. We stayed in Split for 6 days and the apartment was gorgeous. Full sea views with mountain ranges beyond them. Music during the day from the beachside is amazing and everyone here... I mean everyone is beyond friendly and helpful. A/C, apartment amenities, cleanliness, ease of facilities are top notch and in terms of what we paid we were left surprisingly guilty for all that we had received. Massages in your own apartment which were professional, cheap and courteous just added to the entire experience. We were attending the Ultra Music Festival in Split which will continue on license for another 4 years and all our itinerary was checked and assisted by Gordana and Emilia which made it even more wonderful. Everything in this apartment is brand new. Guess what? a birthday lunch to the town of Omis was organised by the owner and we were taken to a literal paradise for an authentic Croatian feast. Given a sea and mountain tour which you would never ever receive anywhere I know or have travelled to! Taken to a beachside bar for drinks on our arrival just out of the goodness of their hearts and their willingness to show the fun and beauty of their country. They're coming to our wedding next year. If you go to these guys, you are not going to leave Split without seriously considering living there.
This was just the icing on the cake, after a long week sailing Croatia. We had just finished a 7 day boat trip sailing the islands of Croatia and arrived in Split tired and over sleeping in small cabins. We scoured the internet in the morning and came across this place suprisingly available and affordable too! We ended up booking a 3 bedroom apartment there and then on the spot. After mucking round in Split for a bit we contacted the property and they even came to the port to pick us up! (I forget their names now), but 2 lovely ladies greeted us and took us to the place. It is situated a little bit out of Split main city centre, maybe a 10min drive, but was perfect as we were looking to relax. We got to the apartment complex (which I believe they own and rent out a couple of properties within) and went up to our apartment. We were situated on the top floor and we couldnt believe our eyes at how nice it was! Extremely new and modern with a big open plan kitchen and lounge. And the balcony was something else! Had a massive balcony on two sides with BBQ etc, and the most beautiful views of the Adriatic sea. The place was well equipped with all needed facilities even a washing machine, and even its own wifi router. The rooms were really tidy and clean and had 2 bathrooms as well. Overall the place was perfect and could not fault it one bit. It was so hassle free and good value too. It definitely superceeded our expectations and the service was just next level, so friendly! Would recommend to anyone and everyone!
My husband and I and two grown children stayed in Apartments on the Beach in the wonderful city of Split. We had a large, two-bedroom suite with a gorgeous view of the Adriatic from the huge balcony/patio. (The second bedroom was a children's room with bunk beds, not really suitable for tall 27- and 30-year-olds.) Within a very short walking distance are a small grocery store, a fast food kiosk, the ubiquitous Croatian "caffe bar," and the beach. Unfortunately, the weather was crappy so we could not use the beach for sunbathing or swimming, and we were much farther from the Old City than I had realized when I made the booking. Two bus routes are very close by, but the cab fare was about the same as bus fare for four, so we took a cab more often than the bus. The drive into the city centre ("Centar") was about 20 minutes by bus or 10 minutes by cab. Had the weather been better, we would have appreciated the location more. On our return visit to Split a week later, Gordana accommodated us in one of her properties in the old city. Emilia, Gordana, and their driver (lovely man but I can't remember his name!) are very focused on their guests' satisfaction. For example, Emilia delivered extra towels late one evening. We were given a cell phone to use to contact them whenever we needed anything. I will definitely stay with them again on our next visit to Split. Be aware that this type of accommodation, typical everywhere we went in Croatia, is not a hotel but a private apartment with kitchen. There are few amenities (e.g., no blow dryer, shampoo, etc.) and no maid service during your stay (although you might be able to arrange that with the owners if you stay for more than a few days). Also be aware that everywhere we stayed, including Villa Sonja, operates on a cash only basis. No credit cards.
I was with my familly in these apartments and it was great vacation. Yes, workers were there but it was not a problem and we could sleep as long as we want. The apartment are very clean and modern. Beach is 5 minutes away and we had great time there. I recommend this to everyone and me and my familly will be back next year for sure.
Apartments was nice but In the yard was construction site, so in the morning was very loud. "See view" from balcony you can see on panorama photo. Wi-fi - doesnt work, but owner gave us usb modem 3G - only to one device.
We stayed at the Apartments On The Beach for a long weekend in Split. This was the first time in Croatia and apartments booked without any reviews so a little nervous of what we might get despite the lovelypictures. The aparment was beautiful - lovely furnishings, very clean and modern. All amenities for cooking, entertainment etc. It was a two bed aparment which would suit a family of four. The sea view from the terrace was glorious. The apartment was close to a supermarket and a lovely beach bar. It was easy to get to the sea and beaches were a short walk. The apartment is however set a 10-15 minute bus ride away from Split centre and harbour but this was not a problem as there were two bus routes easily accessible. Gordana the owner was very hospitable and helped us with transport to the airport and giving us details of places to go and see. All in all an excellent choice.
